The March 2023 BOXYCHARM Premium theme was Planet Woman! I received a bright, bold palette, a hair serum, a face serum, and more. See each item I received below!

In case you haven’t heard yet, BoxyCharm and Ipsy have combined forces and they will no longer be offering BoxyCharm Premium. The March 2023 BoxyCharm Premium box will be the final one. If you’re an existing BoxyCharm Premium member, you’ll be automatically enrolled in BoxyCharm by Ipsy + Beauty Boost. This means you’ll get 3 choice items and 2 Power Picks + one additional top-rated product (so you’ll still enjoy 6 full-size faves like BoxyCharm Premium).

LIMITED TIME DEAL: Get FREE month of Refreshments when you subscribe to any Ipsy subscription – that’s up to $15 value! No coupon needed, just use this link to subscribe. FYI, Refreshments is an add-on subscription to your Ipsy membership. You can simply cancel if you don’t want to be charge after your FREE month.

The Nue Co Supa Thick Scalp Serum ($45) For some reason I received a lot of scalp treatments this month and I’ve met my limit for how many I can try (I have a very sensitive scalp). This product will have to wait a few more weeks but I’m looking forward to trying it out! You apply it to the scalp in sections and then massage it in, wait 20 minutes, and follow with your usual shampoo and conditioner. It’s supposed to increase new growth, improve scalp health, and boosts circulation, all things I think my scalp will probably appreciate.

Malin + Goetz Resurfacing Face Serum ($70) This serum is supposed to brighten and smooth the skin in 10 days. It does that with both glycolic and lactic acid along with stabilized vitamin C. They even added niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, always a hit in skin serums. The scent comes from essential oils. Use twice a day after cleansing and follow with moisturizer, plus sunscreen in the morning. The serum is slightly thick and smells a bit like peppermint and is tacky until dried.

LaPalette Beauty Vita Yellow Fresh Cleanser ($22.40) This is a jelly cleanser and I liked the texture when I placed it in my hand. I massaged it into wet skin and it turned milky and sudsed up well and then I rinsed it off etc. It smelled nice too, like lemon candy!

Luna Magic Hydrating Lip Balm Duo in Mango & Cherry ($10) Sometimes you just want a fun, fruity lip gloss and this is it. It’s barely tinted but I’m sure it could be paired with liner if you like. The red one smells like cherry and the yellow one like mango. The container is easy to squeeze and the applicator is slanted. I really liked this duo!

Ciatè London Dewy Blush Glossy Cheek Tint ($22) I received the shade Coconut, which is described as bronze/nude, and this product also smells like coconut. I am not a fan, this is gloss for the cheeks and it feels greasy, like gloss you might wear on your lips.

Artist Couture Club Daddy Palette ($38) This is a vibrant eyeshadow/pressed pigment palette (pressed pigment means it can’t be sold as eyeshadow due to FDA rules so this is the work around). These aren’t the colors for me and my desired look at this time in my life but I’m sure I have friends out there who are all about those bright colors. The middle shades are shimmery while the other six are mattes. The middle shade was a little travel tossed so all of the colors ended up shimmery.

Here’s the eyeshadow/pressed pigment palette swatched.

This was the last BOXYCHARM Premium box and I must say I’m excited to see what’s happening in the future, because this box was just ok. I’ve received two of the products in previous BOXY boxes, I guess it’s fine to have backups but one of them was a cheek gloss which is a big no from me. I’m not a fan of the eye shadow palette. I’m looking forward to trying the scalp product, I sniffed it and it smelled minty fresh, always a plus to my nose. The face cleanser is fine and I liked the simple retro lip glosses. Malin + Goetz is a popular brand and I’m hoping it works in the long term. The value for this box was around $207, although most of those prices are from the brand’s own websites, as opposed to Sephora or Ulta.

Below is a box opening photo as well as the product info card.

BOXYCHARM Premium is a beauty box from BOXYCHARM (who also has a base box for $27.99 a month and a BOXYLUXE upgrade option). For $39.99 per month (price drops for longer terms), you’ll receive 6 items with 2 items chosen by the subscriber. They also state an average value of around $215 per box. BOXYCHARM’s premium subscription box was one of the best beauty subscription boxes for 2022, a best skincare box, and a best makeup subscription!
