This month’s featured article is about the Special Holiday Japan-exclusive drops! In Japan, you take your special someone on a date during the Christmas season. Pokemon stores and Disney stores, as well as other companies, also release special merchandise during this time! How fun!
The magazine also lists all the gachapons you’ll get this month, along with some tidbits about each of them.

The gachapon capsules came in a variety of colors. Its concept is similar to surprise eggs and blind bags.
Pokemon Capchara. From our first surprise ball is a Pokemon that we need to build. Given its yellow color and the inclusion of a beak, we already have an idea who it is!
It’s Psyduck! This water-type Pokemon is introduced in Generation I, #054, and can evolve to a Golduck!
Psy-ya-yay! This Pokemon is so adorable, and we all love how bright and shiny the yellow paint job is, it almost looks golden!
Mini Canon Cameras. This one is for the camera junkies. You can get different Canon models from this cool surprise ball. Ours is a Canon EOS Kiss M!
The camera looks like the real thing, and the lens is even detachable!
I think mine came with the longest lens they have for these miniature models, which is EF-M 55-200mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM.
We also like that the flash works like a mini-light!
Faceball. This one had a lot of varieties but all of them have their tongue sticking out! They all look fun even though some have a look of disgust on their faces.
We got a pink one, which looks surprised!
The ball lights up too. It’s a cute ball that you can play catch and throw with!
Squishy Hamsters. There are six variations to this squishy hamster! We can’t get a real one so it’s amazing that we got this toy!
The hamster is so cute, just look at those cheeks! It looks like it’s chewing and hiding food on its mouth, making its cheeks chubby!
It’s really adorable, even from the back. This squishy hamster really makes a nice desk companion!
Detective Cat. We’re really surprised by what this gachapon had for us! It’s a kitty detective costume!
The detective hat has an adorable red ribbon on top, as well as supporting chin straps locked by velcro, so the kitty can’t easily take it off especially during some photo ops. Well, if you don’t have a kitty, you can try it on a plushie!
Animal Flower Pots. The mini flower pots featured in these gachapons are accompanied by an animal. This is another cute item to display on anyone’s desk or bedside table!
We got a deer! It looks shy, as it hides behind the trunk!
The plant is so green, you’ll think it might be real, but it’s not. Still, it makes a nice item for display!
We’re always surprised by the amazing items that can fit in gachapons! This month is no different as we got a DIY Pokemon, a mini DSLR, and a stress-relieving squishy hamster! There’s even a detective hat for a cat, which looks really adorable. Opening each gachapon always makes us excited. It’s definitely one of the best representations of Japanese culture, appealing to the young and old alike!
