Loot Crate DX is a deluxe monthly subscription box from Loot Crate. It’s themed with the regular Loot Crate theme, except it contains premium next level loot for discerning geeks! It’s like a special edition box from Loot Crate – every month!

DEAL: Save 15% on any subscription plan when you use this link and coupon code HELLOSUBSCRIPTION15.

All the items are neatly packed inside the box!

The box comes with a tri-fold booklet.

The theme this month is COSMIC DX!

The booklet gives you a list of all the items in the box. It’s super sturdy and has a nice premium feel.

Everything in my box!

Cosmic Adventure Pin. The pin for this month depicts a fun adventure of an astronaut with his rocket ship exploring outer space!

The pin has 3 parts: the astronaut, the rocket ship, and the connecting chain.

The chain that comes with the pins actually reminded me of a suit chain. It’s a super cute way to provide a visual connection between the two parts!

Captain Marvel Varsity Shirt. This is the very first shirt in a series designed by Marvel exclusively for Loot Crate DX! The beautiful vintage airplane nose art is by Jesse Bengal Amari.

The design goes back to the time where Carol Danvers is in the Air Force. It also features her in her blue, red, and yellow suit, and short blonde hair. I also like this shade of green as I don’t get many shirts in this color!

Alien Snapback Hat. I’m outdoor-ready with this snapback hat. It’s made in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Alien, a sci-fi horror film!

The embroidered hat is based from the hat that Samuel Brett, a crew member of the commercial towing vehicle USCSS Nostromo, is always wearing.

This is what I like about snapbacks, you can easily adjust them to fit comfortably on your crown, and protect your head from the heat of the sun, or even hide your bad hair day!

Bonus Item: Captain Marvel Mini Movie Poster. Getting a mini poster of one of Marvel’s cosmic superheroine is absolutely fantastic although a bit filler-y, especially as it’s not a special quality print. Here’s Captain Marvel looking stunning with her full suit on!

The Fifth Element Multi Pass. The next item is based on The Fifth Element, a French Sci-Fi action film in the English language. It is about the survival of the planet Earth and defending it from an impending attack of malevolent cosmic entities.

This is a repeat from the regular January 2016 Loot Crate box.

The cool ID holder has a long ball chain that serves as the ID lace.

There’s also an ID insert that features Leeloo Dallas, played by Milla Jovovich. It contains some of her personal information.

The back of the card doesn’t say much. Still, it’s a cool insert example!

The ID holder fits standard-sized IDs and other cards. The design is totally awesome. It’s like you can have access anywhere, and even save the world with it!

This next item was also included in the September 2017 Loot Crate!

Star Trek: New Generation Mirror Universe Comic. This comic is a 100% original story made for Loot Crate.

On the eve of the theft of the Enterprise, Picard’s second officer and co-conspirator, Lt. Commander Data, considers his loyalties…

I love Star Trek so I enjoyed reading this!

It is a one-shot addendum to the Mirror Broken mini-series.

The story focuses on Data, and how he went from a simple machine to a killer Borg.

Battlestar Galactica Scar Cylon Raider. Another Looters favorite included in this box is the Battlestar Galactica Scar Cylon Raider vinyl figure, which was first seen in the September 2016 SPEED Loot Crate!

The side of the box features the other figures that you can get from their “So Say We All” collection.

The figure is composed of three easy-to-assemble parts: the main figure, the base, and a connector.

This Cylon Raider is a saucer-shaped starfighter with a twin engine. It is employed by the Cylon Empire and used as a fighter-bomber to the Battlestar.

Scar is a nickname given to the vicious and cunning craft because of the damages and grime on its front that looks like scars.

The figure measures 4.5 inches, and the material is a little soft and flexible.

Firefly Little Damn Heroes Mini Master. The last item in the box is another figure! This time, it is from Little Damn Heroes from Firefly – the May 2018 box.

You can get 1 out of the 8 figures: Kaylee, Badger, Mal, Shepherd Book, Inara, Serenity, Zoe, or River.

I got Kaylee Frye! She is the mechanic of Serenity, and also tagged as the “Heart of the Serenity” as she is kind, trustworthy, and sees the best in people.

She looks lovely in this beautiful layered skirt dress. I also love how chic she is in this style, as opposed to her role in the series as a mechanic and an exceptional engineer.

Her real name is Kaywinnet Lee Frye, and she is undoubtedly one of the most lovely characters in the series and the movie. The character is portrayed by actress Jewel Staite.

We actually got two of these boxes – below is another example of the variations:

There’s another figure that we got for the Little Damn Heroes line.

Firefly Little Damn Heroes Mini Master. The figure also came in its own box packaging.

It’s the Eavesdwon businessman, Badger!

Badger came from Dyton, a moon of the planet Greenleaf.

Badger is wearing his usual attire on this figure, complete with a hat and tie, and accessories!

The character is played by actor Mark Sheppard, but the character was originally written by Joss Whedon with the intention to play it by himself.

Some old stuff that Looters loved and fresh items are all included in this month’s DX box. The box also included some figures that I’m happy to add to my collection, like the Firefly’s Little Damn Heroes! I also like the Captain Marvel shirt, and I think the pin set is a great addition, as it’s a bit different from the usual pins that I am getting from this box and other similar boxes. Loot Crate DX needs to step up their game with the upcoming boxes, both in exclusive and NEW merchandise, and shipping it out on time. It’s really not ok to send a box half full of old stuff really late and call it a day.
