For the past few years Too Faced Cosmetics has released a Mystery Beauty Bag on Cyber Monday! It happens only once a year and typically sells out in the morning. This year’s Too Faced Mystery Bag was $39 with a value of $115.
Unfortunately, Too Faced Cosmetics Mystery Beauty Bag is now sold out.
The bag comes packed in a box with crinkles!
The packing ninjas perform great feats to get everything in the bag.
Everything but one item was in retail box packaging (you’ll find out why!).
Melted Liquified Longwear Lipstick in Melted Frosting ($18.90) I played with this item before taking the photo – the tip actually comes white. This product was in last year’s mystery bag, but in a different color. I took a selfie of me wearing it but I felt like one of those YouTubers who is blond and half my age and I vowed never to wear it again. It’s a bit streaky, and I didn’t find that it was particularly long wearing. This color was just all off, which is a little sad – both because everyone got it, and because other Melted shades are awesome. Swatch below!
Bulletproof 24 Hour Eyeliner ($19.80) This on the other hand… this is grail level liner for me! I don’t know how I failed to take a photo of the tip, but there you go, I failed. It’s a shadow liner that’s black with a slight hint of glitter.
It comes with a built-in smudger and sharpener.
Can you see the glitter? The top one is a straight line, the bottom is smudged. Glittery black is my preferred liner. Always has been.
Whew, that pink is Barbie level.
Better Than Sex Mascara ($12) Who doesn’t love this mascara? It gives great volume, is smudge-proof (but not water resistant, so it does muss a tiny bit by the end of the day), and just gives big lashy volume.
Better Than Sex Mascara in Purple ($12) What’s better than Better than Sex Mascara? PURPLE! It’s my favorite color, I love wearing it, it’s subtle but unique, and once again, PURPLE! ? This mascara was included in the The Power Of Makeup By Nikkie Tutorials set and did not have its own packaging – but they included a slip with the ingredients.
I never noticed this before. I got a good giggle out of it!
Glitter Glue ($9.75) This is an item that I purchase (and I bought it last year with my Mystery Bag too!). It makes glitter stick without creasing, it makes regular shadow stick without creasing, it makes shimmery shadow stick without creasing. It’s the best. You can use it also to stick loose glitter on top of a finished look too. Use it for everything.
Cat Eyes Eyeshadow Palette ($32.40)
I already have this palette and I would be happy to have another, but I’ll probably gift this one, just because I get so many. It will be difficult, because of purple. I might have just talked myself out of it. There’s 3 large base colors, 3 accent colors, and 3 deep smoky shades that double as wet/dry liners.
One of my fave things about Too Faced palettes period – the looks! They have easy to follow directions that make it relatively easy to pull off something resembling a runway look!

I love the Glitter Glue, purple mascara, and totally fell in love with the eyeliner! It’s pretty much a given that every Cyber Monday mystery bag will include a palette and a Better Than Sex Mascara. While I do wish that the bag wasn’t full of past seasons worth of makeup, it’s really hard to beat the price! I got lucky not duplicating the palette available in the sale they had going simultaneously with the Mystery Bag – only because I already had the Cat Eyes palette! I know a lot of ladies picked up Cat Eyes on sale to get free shipping, and getting a duplicate isn’t fun at all. Not to mention that I just don’t think there was as much product in this box. While it’s still a fantastic deal, I think this bag is more about stocking up for someone who doesn’t already own every Too Faced palette and wants to try them out at a great price (but isn’t expecting the latest products).
Good to know for next year: If you bought this one with Paypal you can get a refund as long as you return it unopened. I’ll make sure to recommend it for 2017! In the meantime, I have some stickers to put on my new palette!
