Surprise My Pet Subscription Box Review & Coupon – September 2015

 Surprise My Pet is a surprise variety box each month for your dogs. The Surprise Box includes fun toys, treats, and other goodies. They have a new (significantly) lower price than previously, so I was very happy to take a second look at this subscription! This box offers four sizes: tiny (less than 10 pounds), small (10-20 pounds), medium (20-50 pounds), or large (50+ pounds). This is the small dog box!

Anit Nunchuks Dog Toy ($9) I was really confused by these, because I thought they were supposed to be a boxing gloves toy. I tracked them down on the manufacturer’s site and discovered that they are nunchuks! This is hilarious! They have squeakers and are just hilarious flapping around when getting “killed.”

Kong Goodie Bone – X-Small ($6.77) This is a great toy for interactive play, and I’m always more than pleased with the KONG quality. Tugging fun, plus the rope flosses their teeth. I appreciate all dental items in dog boxes because it’s tough to keep those little mouths clean.

Etta Says Crunchy Duck Chews ($3)

Yummy! Lindy will snap up the Etta Says chew as soon as she gets it – she loves the taste and texture – and will probably run around the entire house hiding that bone. Sometimes I find them in my bed, in my couch, everywhere. It’s really more of a toy for her.

Jone’s Natural Chews Tender Taffy Beef Liver Blend ($3.43) Well, dog taffy is a new to me item, but Lindy approves!  They are quite stinky and therefore wonderful.

Cloud Star Buddy Biscuits Original Soft & Chewy with All Natural Roasted Chicken ($3.88) I love the little gingerbread shapes on these.  They’re yummy (for Lindy!) and corn and soy free.

I estimated the value of this box around $29, which is a few dollars more the box costs per month. As with all dog subscription boxes, the box value is typically right around that, and a longer term subscription is a much better deal – stacked with the coupon the monthly price will be around $17 per month, which is a really excellent deal! I thought Surprise My Pet did a great job paying attention to the nutrition and contents of the treats. All the treats in the box were made in the US, which is really important to me! Plus the toys were fun and good quality, and comparing to my BarkBox for September, I think this box came out on top!
