lootaku-november-2016-box

Lootaku is a monthly geek subscription box from Hong Kong packed with high-quality geek and gamer items. The subscription costs $49.00 per month + shipping (currently about $17 to the US), and you’ll get 4-6 themed products, like plushies, action figures, memorabilia, etc., to satisfy your geeky cravings monthly – no fillers or promo items!

I like how the outside of the box is beautifully designed. A Chest – Full of Loot!

The item information card, or “Loot Table,” is thick and glossy, with lots of detail. When there are variations, it typically lists each possible variation you might receive!

All the goodies inside my November Lootaku Box! Everything was themed on the Street Fighter franchise! It’s great to see such a variety of figures within the theme.

lootaku-november-2016-2

Funko POP! Street Fighter Series Ken Vinyl Figure ($12): This figure is from the POP! Asia series, so the available figures may differ from those released in the U.S. We got Ken! Ken is one of the two original playable characters, and he often overshadows his friend and rival, Ryu.

Kidrobot Street Fighter V Blind Box Mini Series – Zangief ($9.99): My kids loved this figure, as they recognize him from his cameo in Wreck-It Ralph.  The figure has painted features and movable arms and head.

Kidslogic Ultra Street Fighter IV Kids Nations GM-02 Action Figure – Ken VS FeiLong ($32): These sets are exclusively available in Hong Kong and Macau. They are highly posable and come with accessories.

Each figure has two sets of hands, a flame effects piece, and a labeled stand with adjustable arm. It even has a little backdrop card that slides into a slot in the stands to complete the scene. Each figure has 15 articulated joints!

Street Fighter II Losing Face Trading Figures Collection Vol. 1 – Ken ($8): About the only fun thing about losing is seeing the beat up version of your character on the continue screen. This mystery box contains one mini-bust.

lootaku-november-2016-7

We got a beaten and bloodied Ken!

QCF Gift Series Diamond Blocks – Ryu ($5): Just when I was starting to think we received a Ken-themed box, I opened our Diamond Blocks to see the Ryu variant!

Diamond Blocks are super tiny, so they take awhile to assemble. The completed Ryu looks really cool, and he even has a Hadoken with clear stand!

The primary focus of Lootaku is Anime, superhero, and game collectibles, with an occasional dalliance into fantasy. It’s especially great for anyone who loves collecting and displaying figurines – because the box is curated in Hong Kong, you get many variations you might not see elsewhere.

What do you think about Lootaku?

FYI – Lootaku is not shipping in January due to slipping shipping schedules and the Lunar New Year. Read more about it here.
