Argh. Why did I resub. Avocado pil in the eye cream. I’m allergic. Glycerin is the moisturizing item. It’s grease yall. I don’t wear blush. I picked blonde on the spray because I know a blonde but I love my grey hair. A huge scrunchi that I will give to a pensioner. So I’m left with a tiny chaffing stick in fall. Might have tried to go hikng in summer. And a scalp treatment. Bummed.

Omg I thought the same thing about the anti-chafe stick. Like yeah, woulda been helpful back in the summer when I was wearing shorts!!! Its too cold to need it now lol

    A scrunchie? Really?!

I just got an email today saying my order (Oct box, I paid for a whole year upfront) was canceled due to “unforeseen curcumstances”? Did anyone else get this from Allure?

Root spray = useless. It’s as bad as getting perfume as a choice. Ugh.

  • Amy
    09.26.23

Meh. I feel like these boxes have gotten worse since the price increase. Nothing in the past few boxes has made me want to resubscribe.

I love 95% of all boxes. I think Allure typically does a great job of picking out items for us. I rarely skip. But this one, I skipped. Its full of products that majority cant/won’t/ don’t want to use…just a very weird array. When I’m most excited for a scrunchie, something is wrong!

The scalp mask on its own is $12.

I’m really not a fan of this box.

    I will probably skip.

I skipped this morning before I saw the full spoilers, and I’ve no regrets. The only thing I want in this curation is the caudalie eye cream, and it’s a mini. It’s not a bad box. The value is there is the items work for you. They just aren’t right for me.

I don’t want the root concealer. My hair is white and I wish they would think about what goes into the box instead of using whatever they have a lot of! I’m read to cancel. The boxes are getting worse all the time.

Btw, I know the June box was very popular. In case you want another one, allure is selling it for $20 in their member store. I grabbed a couple of them, because I quite like the Glow Recipe serum which alone sells for $35.

    • Cindy

Is the June box still available in the store do you know?

      • Dia
        10.06.23

Looks like it’s sold out. It was a solid box.

Hmmm, I dye my hair red, so I may have to sign up for this one to get Auburn. Odds are Amazon would get the most universal one.

  • Lori
    09.17.23

Ughhh what are we going to do with a root spray?! I imagine anytime you touch your hair you will get stuff under your finger nails that looks like dirt- like the dry shampoo for brunettes does. Not to mention how many of us really would use a root spray? About 10%?!

    • Doona Goding
      09.25.23

I didn’t even make a color choice. Wouldn’t use it even if they happen to toss me the right shade

  • Tiffany Nicole
    09.16.23

This is the first box in a while I might have to skip. I dye my hair a shade called urban fuchsia so none of these shades would work for me at all. Considering the fact that not everyone does their hair and that some people dye it more adventurous colors this is a choice that is going to be useless for a large number of people. I hope the other products are better than this so I don’t have to skip October

I LOVE THIS —- Can not wait to try. Great choice.

  • Maggie
    09.14.23

i have no use for a root concealer. i wish they gave another choice option for those of us that have no use for this. most likely skipping this month.

    • KayKay
      09.14.23

Yeah, this is not really a choice.

    • dia
      09.14.23

Same here. I don’t color my hair, so there are no roots to cover.
The Flanerie serum sounds interesting, though. Flanerie is apparently a legit English company whose lotions and potions are quite expensive, not a fake DLS company as I had initially assumed.

        Good to know.
