The March 2023 BOXYCHARM theme was Planet Woman. All of my products were either skincare or makeup, which is fine with me! I tried my hand at contouring and also enjoyed a thorough exfoliating session and still had three other items to try. See all of my products below!

Keep in mind that BOXYCHARM sends many box combos so your box items and value may be different than mine. There are variations to the box – see them here.

FIRST AID BEAUTY 2-in-1 Cleansing Oil + Makeup Remover ($26) This cleanser is called a cleansing oil but it doesn’t have an oily feel to it at all, it’s a regular gel-type cleanser. You rub it on dry skin and then add water and it turns milky/creamy and then you can wipe it off. It has ingredients like glycerin and colloidal oatmeal. It says makeup remover but I believe that means for face and not eye makeup. It was a little drying for my skin, although it’s supposed to be meant for all skin types.

DEW OF THE GODS Feels Microderm Face Scrub ($30) This item is currently sold out but is supposed to come back in stock sometime in April. It’s a grainy scrub consisting of silica, glycerin, jojoba oil, and several potentially irritating essential oils. It’s supposed to not have added fragrance but it smells very much like (scented) men’s shave cream. You can apply this to dry skin but it was too rough for me personally, so the second time I started with a wet face, and I still received a very strong scrubbing experience. Make sure to use sunscreen afterwards.

KOA LIFE Niacinamide Booster ($34.95) This skin booster is supposed to help skin feel tightened and firmed. In fact, they claim a whole lot of benefits, including protecting against sun damage. It can be mixed into your current product or applied separately. Hyaluronic acid may help draw moisture to the skin. It’s fragranced (sigh) but the scent is light and fades quickly.

BELLE EN ARGENT Tinted Lip Balm in At Hello Nude ($18) This is a lightly tinted lip balm that happens to come in a purple lipstick case. It looks almost orange or coral in the tube but when swatched it showed up as a light rose shade. You could tell I had something tinted on my lips but it wasn’t super bright.

ACE BEAUTÉ Ultimate Sculpt Face Palette ($41.99) I really want to like bronzers but 9 times out of 10 they are just too dark for my fair-to-light skin tone. The models on the brand’s website used the lightest color to highlight their features but for me it just makes me look dirty. It’s creamy and blends well, and I didn’t have much problem erasing my mistakes. I applied it with a makeup sponge and that seemed to work well although it’s suggested you could use a brush or your fingers.

Here’s the makeup swatched! On top is two swipes of the lip balm and that’s followed by the contouring palette.

Looking good BoxyCharm, I was pretty happy with this month’s products! I especially liked the FAB cleanser, and it came just as I needed a new one, like a week after I ran out of my previous product. I also liked the facial scrub, although I would have loved it without the scent and essential oils but so far, so good. The niacinamide serum seems like it might be good for my skin as that ingredient is popular for a reason. I’m not completely sold on the contouring palette but that’s because I don’t typically use that type of makeup and this one seems like it’s too dark for me anyways, but I have friends who it will match better. The lip balm color was fine with me, it added just a hint of tint and was easy to apply. I look forward to seeing what types of products I might receive in the future now that Ipsy and Boxy have fully merged, how about you? Let me know in the comments!

I received a card with info on what I can expect in the future.

Here’s a box opening pic and below is the product info card!
