We have the reveals of the September 2022 Ipsy Glam Bag for the regular Ipsy Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus with notes on the inspiration from Ipsy’s bag designer Joanne Wong.
Sometimes, you just need a reminder. As the CEO of your own world, we want to inspire you to embrace every challenge with confidence (whether that’s perfecting your winged eyeliner skills, finally figuring out how to conceal without looking cake-y, or acing your next project at school or work) and watch yourself level up in every aspect of life. “September is the transition month from summer to fall and also the month of back to school or back from summer vacation,” says Joanne Wong, the designer behind our monthly Glam Bags. “It’s a good time to reset your routine, so we wanted to design a bag with a mood-boosting color and a motivational quote to kick off the season.”
To find the perfect color palette for your September 2022 Glam Bag and Glam Bag plus designs, Wong looked to current fashion and color trends as well as fashion magazines and blogs. A shade that kept coming up again was the striking royal purple as well as iridescent and holographic pops.
September 2022 Glam Bag
“We listen to our Ipster’s feedback,” says Wong of her design process. “We read our social media comments as part of our inspiration to come up with better design, and we got great feedback from January’s limited edition iridescent mystery bag as well as June’s glitter and holographic limited edition mysetday bag. We wanted a design that our Ipsters would love.” And the September 2022 Glam Bag design will not disappoint.
The shell is made of a lightweight holographic fabric that will serve as all the glam inspiration you need this month. But the design doesn’t end there. To bring in these on-trend bright colors, the bag design includes a bright purple zipper and pull, a yellow zipper fabric, and a highlighter pink lining to make you smile every time you reach to grab another product (or however you end up using your Glam Bags). “We brought back the front-zipped Glam Bag this month,” says Wong. “The contrasting colors of the zipper on the front of the bag and the bold inside lining make this holographic bag more fun to use.”
September 2022 Glam Bag Plus
Any fashionista can tell you that the Autumn/Winter 2022 runways were full of refreshingly bright pops of color, like magenta, bold reds, oranges, greens, and more (we suggest checking out Versace’s hot pink-laden show!). Your September 2022 Glam Bag Plus will fit right in thanks to the lightweight and smooth microfiber fabric in the color of the year (purple!) with the highlighter pink drawstring cords.
If you need the reminder as you head back to school or back to work after your summer vacation, the bold holographic “You Got This” printed in the center of the bag should do the trick. “It’s my new daily motivational boost at work,” says Wong. “Plus, it’s the perfect size to carry my daily essentials, like a small notebook, pens, phone charger, lipstick, powder compact, and hand cream. You can also use it as an organizer to store the small items inside your big tote bag or backpack.”
