Inflation is hitting your favorite beauty subscription! This morning Ipsy announced the addition of a $1.99 handling fee to all their Glam Bag subscriptions, starting in July. That’s the classic bag, Glam Bag Plus, and Glam Bag X.
The good news? You can save 20% on your subscription by locking in the price for a year on an annual plan if you switch by July 1.
Starting with the August edition, Glam Bag X will have a total price of $58.
Here’s the communication from Ipsy:
Since launching the Glam Bag over 10 years ago, we’ve built an incredible, unique community. We wouldn’t be here without you, so we want to be transparent about the issues we’re facing and how they may affect your membership.
Like most others in our industry, we are seeing rising inflation impact our entire supply chain; nearly all of our suppliers and partners have recently raised prices. In light of these industry-wide shifts, we will be adding a $1.99 handling fee to monthly Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus shipments, starting with July shipments, to help us process your bags.
While we wish we didn’t have to make this change, it will allow us to continue bringing you the best products at the best prices (saving Ipsters almost $450/year).
To help offset this, we’re offering you a limited time chance to save 20% by switching to a Glam Bag annual plan by July 1, before the handling fee goes into effect. Plus, you can now pay with Afterpay, giving you the flexibility to spread the cost into four interest-free installments, payable every two weeks.

I have subscribed to ipsy for years. Reluctantly this is making me cancel my subs. My bags will be $16.12 and $32.88. $16 for samples is just too much. Farewell my fav beauty sub.
They have gone downhill since buying Boxy Charm. The thing about Boxy Charm is the fact that they had good brands, and a variety of name brands and cheaper ones. As of late IPSY has all the same brands, and the stuff is repeated over and over in their sales, and addons. Some of those brands are already starting to spill over to Boxy. I have cancelled both of them for a while now, and I have not had any regrets yet.
