The March 2022 BOXYCHARM theme was Game Changer to celebrate the Boss Babes of the world during Women’s History Month. Most of my items were of the skincare type but I also received a liquid liner. See what else was in my box below!

Keep in mind that BOXYCHARM sends many box combos so your box items and value may be different than mine. There are variations in the box – see them here.

FRANK BODY Brightening Vitamin C Mask ($19.95) This is a gentle exfoliating gel mask that has ingredients like salicylic acid, papaya enzyme, sugar cane, and glycolic acid to dissolve the binds that hold dead skin cells together so they can be washed away. I don’t have acne-prone skin so I tried this on my chin and didn’t feel any tingling or irritation, and I was glad to see it was fragrance-free. Apply to clean skin, let sit for around 5 minutes, then rinse and repeat every 2-3 days.

GENERATION SKIN Hydrating Marine Algae Eye Patches ($49) There are 30 pairs of under-eye masks in this container, that’s a lot of hydrating opportunities! These patches are supposed to soothe, firm, and brighten that delicate area with the help of marine algae and hyaluronic acid, plus there’s oat bran oil, cica, and chamomile extract. I was disappointed to see fragrance listed but it’s somewhere in the middle and the patches don’t really smell like much of anything, plus, I didn’t experience any irritation. I liked that the patches stayed put once applied and even though you are supposed to pat in any extra serum afterwards, there really wasn’t anything there and it didn’t leave a greasy feeling either.

Luxie Florals Brush Set ($40) While my favorite makeup brushes come from Morphe, Luxie makes pretty nice brushes too, although the prices are higher than the other brand. Luxie brushes are made with vegan bristles and this set, in particular, has pastel mint green handles and silver-toned ferrules. There are 3 brushes for use around the eyes, one concealer brush, and a mini sponge blender. They came with a handy travel pouch that has a rose gold-toned zipper pull, perfect for carrying the brushes while on the go. My favorite was the eye shadow applicator brush but I also had fun wiping the fluffy crease brush like a windshield wiper on the crease, blend, blend, blend. Watch out for that liner brush, it is really quite pointy and didn’t work for smearing my pencil liner around, rather, it is meant to be used to apply gel liner.

RARE BEAUTY Always An Optimist Illuminating Primer ($26) I’m always confused when I get a shimmering primer because I apply foundation over the top and any glow I get from the product is immediately covered up. Of course, if you have lovely skin to begin with then this will make it shimmery and bright. As for its primer duties, it worked fine. I used this on half my face, a different primer on the other side, and they both did pretty much the same thing, although this one did it without dimethicone.

LAUREN CONRAD BEAUTY The Liquid Eyeliner Onyx ($20) I’m not sure what’s up with this brand but their website says “coming soon” in 2022 but there have been no updates and her beauty line isn’t new but maybe it will be revamped? Anyways, this is a liquid liner which isn’t my favorite type because once it dries it stays put but I prefer to diffuse my liner with a brush and couldn’t do that here. However, it didn’t budge which I guess can also be a plus depending on how you like your liner to look after applying. It was easy to use and applied in a thin line and luckily didn’t smear in my crease when I blinked.

Here I swatched the primer on top, although I didn’t apply it that thickly on my face, and the liner is swatched below.

I was altogether happy with my March BOXYCHARM products! I love the color of the Luxie brushes and the carrying case is super handy for toting them when I’m on the go. The eye patches are also cool, and they leave that area feeling refreshed after use. The primer, mask, and liner are solid choices even I don’t use them that often, however, I have two daughters who I know will get some heavy use out of all three. The value for my box combo was around $155.
