BeadCrate is a monthly subscription box for bead enthusiasts. Every month, you’ll receive a curated collection of beads, findings, and other goodies to enhance your beading creations! There are two box sizes – Enthusiast ($18.99 + $5 Shipping) and Collector ($35 with free shipping) to choose from.

This is the Enthusiast Crate!

We also have a curator’s note explaining the theme. This month’s theme is Corny! You can share your creation on their social media (Instagram or Facebook, don’t forget to tag them!)

The crate comes with a chart that tells you exactly what you’re getting.

The beads always come neatly packaged inside individual well-labelled plastic bags inside a cute organza bag.

11/0 Toho Luster Crystal/Opaque Yellow Lined and Transparent Frosted Rainbow Medium Amethyst. Every month, BeadCrate will send us a variety of seed beads. They are so versatile as they can be used as a little accent on a head pin, or in weaved design. I’m keeping them for a project I’d like to do in December. Hopefully I’ll get around and do it.

3.25″ Aluminium Sort Trays. I remember getting some in a previous box (December 2017), and I really like them. Each can hold the contents of the monthly seed beads offering, and they make it so easy to pour the seed beads back in their plastic bag.

6mm Firepolished Jet. I like faceted dark beads as it adds sparks, while still being classic. They are great with bead caps.

9x6mm Garnet AB Vertical Hole Tear Drops. The color is more red than the photo shows.  I love making dangles with tear drops, either for earrings or as a pendant.

6x6mm Olivine Bicones. They are smooth bicones and they almost feel like round beads have they have no sharp edges and no real faceted faces.

2x4mm Sapphire Teacups. They are like little bowls. You can use them as petals for a fun beaded button, or you could add small seed beads in the hollow part and make small cute little dangles.

7x6mm Rosaline Sparkling Diamonds. I like the delicate color of them, and I like them as dangles.

3mm Firepolished Medium Amethyst. I love these tiny firepolished beads. They can be added to a lot of designs, either beaded with thread, or on wire wrapped ones.

2mm Tanzanite rounds. I love using these tiny beads as accent with seed beads.

4mm Firepolished Crystal Orange Rainbow. I really like this color, and I used them in this month’s project. I like to mix them with copper colored wire.

10mm Red Tiger Eye. We got gemstones! I love gemstones so much! I will either turn them into a simple pair of earrings or make two elastic bracelets.

9x10mm Quartz Travertine Briolettes. Cute beads that imitate the look of travertine stone. I like the orange specks floating in the clear yellowish beads.

I love making earrings, and I was inspired by the Quartz Travertine Briolettes and the Firepolished Crystal Orange Rainbow. I mixed them with some beads from the September 2018 box, and with brass and copper wire.

I’m always happy when we receive gemstones in our box, and the two tiger eye is lovely. I like the Glass Gem Corn theme as it gave us a nice variety of earthy colors, perfect for the end of Fall.
