Menlo Club, formerly Five Four Club, is a men’s clothing monthly subscription club – sign up, pick a style profile and your sizes, and get clothes every month. The subscription is a $60 flat monthly fee, and traditionally subscribers receive a variable number of items each month, depending on the value of the month’s selections (months with several items usually include a tee-shirt or other lower value item). This subscription ships at the end of the month.

DEAL: You can save 50% on your first box with code HELLOMENLO50!

The items arrived with a black wrapper.

A calendar of Menlo Club’s offerings per month. The Menlo Club subscriptions will include Five Four clothing, shoes from the New Republic footwear line made in collaboration with Mark McNairy, and the Grand AC athletic and leisure wear line. New Republic and Grand AC items each will be featured two months of the year, with Five Four selections appearing in the remaining eight months. Read all about the changes here.

GAC Hook Short Sleeve in Olive. This round neck shirt in olive has a single pocket on the left breast. It looks perfect for casual and laidback days.

The design of the pocket actually caught my eyes as it is not your usual square-shaped pocket. As a matter of fact, it has a diagonal running through it which gives it a unique look. It looks like there was an extra cloth that they just folded and stitched together.

The shirt looks great whether with jeans, jogger pants, cargo shorts, and the like.

GAC Jab Short Sleeve in Black. There’s another round neck shirt in the box, and this time it’s in black.

You can wear it as is, or wear a jacket over it, it’s your call. I like that I can do whatever I want with this shirt and still look cool.

GAC Grand Short in Olive. Last but not the least is a drawstring short in olive. It has a garter waistband that you can tighten or loosen up as you see fit. The olive works fine with me as I can pair it with any colored top.

The back pocket has a zipper on it to keep your stuff from falling out. This is a nice addition to its design.

It is comfortable to wear and it is not restrictive too when it comes to movements. I love that it is stylish in its own way and that it can be worn on those days when you just want to go casual without giving up your style.

This month’s ensemble from Menlo Club features two basic tops and a casual short. Both tops can be worn with the short. They’re comfortable and breezy enough, something that I can wear all summer long. I’m satisfied with the season-appropriate clothing they’ve been sending and I’m definitely looking forward to more in the coming months!
