Wandering Bear Coffee is a monthly subscription of cold brew coffee. Subscribers can choose whether they want to receive Coffee On-The-Go or Coffee On Tap. We tried both in this review!

Our goal has always been to put the best-tasting coffee possible in your cup. We modeled our cold brew off the stuff we would often seek out from our favorite coffee shops around New York City. Our brew is bold (so it stands up to ice), but uniquely smooth with a bright, chocolaty finish. And it’s always ready to drink.

The coffee was packaged with ice packs around it to keep it fresh.

Straight Black, coming right up! All the beans used for this coffee are fair-trade, organic Arabica beans from Peru.

Everything in this box!

Wandering Bear Cold Brew Coffee On The Go Straight Black You can drink this cold brew coffee straight up! It has 25mg caffeine per ounce, which is about twice as much as hot coffee.

Each On-The-Go box includes 6 individual 325ml cartons of cold brew coffee. Each 11 oz carton contains 275 mg of caffeine, nearly the amount in 3 8 oz cups of regular coffee!

Busy people will surely find this ready-to-drink coffee convenient. The size is easy to carry, and it also has a cap on top you can use to reseal your cold brew in case you want to consume it later. If you pour it over milk and ice, each carton makes a couple decent sized iced coffees.

This cold brew coffee is made of organic coffee and cold water only, no sugar! The cold brewing process is great at extracting the light, sweet, and fruity/floral flavors of the coffee beans without extracting the bitterness. If you enjoy black coffee normally, you could drink this comfortably without sweetener, even at full strength.

Wandering Bear Cold Brew Coffee On Tap Straight Black It’s still the same straight black coffee blend, but this time it’s in a box packaging featuring a tap.

I’ve never had coffee on tap in my home before! This carton is great, not just for the home, but for taking to the office, too. Unlike hot coffee, you don’t have to have a crowd that will drink the whole thing in a single morning — you can put this in the fridge and work on it over several days.

This Coffee On Tap box can produce 6 glasses of cold brew coffee.

You just have to open the part where the perforated lines are and pull the tap out. It’s pretty easy — set up is the same as as that for boxed wine.

Then, press the red button and voila, cold brew coffee right from the tap!

This straight black coffee is the real deal. The aroma is lovely, and it doesn’t carry quite as far as brewed coffee. The flavor is bold, smooth, and really excellent.

It has a nice kick to it, as well as a surprising chocolaty finish.

Overall, it’s a great brew for iced coffee lovers and for those who like their coffee strong!

For those who are not so much into straight black coffee, you can also add milk to it. Here, I poured it over some milk and added a squirt of stevia. I think the cold-brew version of iced coffee is better than what you get from a coffee shop!

Wandering Bear offers two convenient ways to enjoy coffee. There’s an option for people who are always on-the-go, and there’s also a convenient option for homes and offices. Plus, all the packaging they use are recyclable! I love the clean taste of cold brew coffee, and this subscription saves me the shame of a daily visit to a big chain coffee shop. The coffee itself is wonderful — they picked beans that have both the classic coffee richness and a bit of nuance.
