Loot Crate‘s theme for December is EXPLORE 2.0Loot Crate is the original nerd subscription box for geeks & gamers. Every month you’ll get awesome, mostly exclusive geeky pop culture items curated around a theme for $21.99 per month, shipped.

DEAL: Save 15% on any subscription when you use this link and coupon code HELLOSUBSCRIPTION15.

The inside of the box was decorated this month, but it didn’t transform. It was a bit of a relief!

Every Loot Crate box comes with a mag, however this month’s box has its magazine missing. Still, it’s available online.

It also lists all the items in the box.

Everything in the December 2017 box!

Loot Crate December 2017 EXPLORE 2.0 Pin. Every month, a cool enamel pin is included in the box. This month, it’s a rocketship to help you explore!

Go to Lootcrate.com/pins to get your bonus loot – this month the DLC is an exclusive free Pandora Premium 3 month subscription and…

…free digital comics from Comixology: Rick and Morty! This month, codes were also sent out by email.

Destiny 2 Shirt. The shirt features the First Wave emblem, a symbol only given to those who participated in Destiny 2 Beta.

The symbol looks more detailed than the original emblem, as it looks like a rocket ship. The emblem is almost similar to Destiny’s Sign of the Elders, which the hardest emblem to claim and requires you to complete the first mission on the moon.

Exclusive Star Wars Adventures  – Destroyer Down. Included in this month’s loots is the eighth issue of the Star Wars Adventures comic book series, Destroyer Down. It is written by Scott Beatty and the comic was bagged.

A LONG, LONG TIME AGO…

The planet Jakku is littered with countless rebel and Imperial shipwrecks. But one vessel has long eluded discovery. When the Imperial Star Destroyer Spectral reveals itself from its sandy grave, untouched after decades buried, renowned scavenger Rey leads the race to claim whatever supplies might remain within. Perils abound as Rey descends inside the “Ghost Ship” and learns just what (and WHO) caused the Spectral to crash headling onto Jakku!

The comic has glossy and full colored pages.

This comic is a special issue in the Star Wars Adventures series of comics which were aimed at the “next generation of comic book fans”, and is exclusive for Loot Crate. It is in a trade paperback format that is split into three chapters.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Calendar. It’s cool 16-month mini calendar from the franchise!

Here’s Rocket Raccoon in action for the month of January!

The calendar measures 7″ x 7″ (17.7 cm x 17.7 cm). We put this right into service – and I really appreciated it being in a December box instead of a January box. For the first few years of subscription box reviews I’d always get planners, calendars, and agendas at the end of January!

Overwatch Titanium Parah Action FigureThis is supposed to be a mystery item. However, we got a past item which is this Overwatch Pharah Cute But Deadly Figure (we also got it from Loot Gaming April 2017 box).

Pharah on a titanium armor is part of a 2-parter Blizzard Cute But Deadly exclusive Overwatch figurine set.

These cute figures have tiny little feet that fit in the little round base.

So much detail!

Loot Crate came in late, the magazine is missing and instead of a mystery item, we got an Overwatch figurine (which we already received from one of the past boxes). It’s kind of disappointing. It might be a great box if not for those I mentioned above. Maybe what I like about this box is the rad shirt from Destiny, and while everything else are just so-so items. Hoping they’ll improve with the next box!

What did you think of this month’s Loot Crate?
