The Gentleman’s Box is a monthly men’s subscription box providing the required essentials for the savvy man. Boxes contain specially-selected items that range from accessories to grooming. When you subscribe, you also receive a year-long subscription to GQ magazine, which is delivered separately through the mail.

Each box also includes a copy of The Gentleman’s Post, a well-designed booklet describing the products in the box and offering styling suggestions for each one. Each month is dedicated to someone who has had a significant influence on culture or fashion. This month’s collection is to our favorite “Beard Park Director.”

DEAL: For a limited time use coupon code HELLO to save $5 on your first month!

There is a handy table of contents that gives a quick list of the contents and the total retail value of the box. The last several issues have introduced new members to the Gentleman’s Box team.

They always give you an inspiration page showing all the items in the box and how to wear them.

I like the layout of the product guide. A page is dedicated to each item — they include the usual picture and blurb, but they also include a handy section denoting the level of attire (e.g. formal, business, biz-cas, casual) for which the item is appropriate, as well as colors that best complement it.

Some item descriptions include coupon codes for follow-on orders from the manufacturer, like this Brooklyn Strong code.

The how-to-wear-it aspects of the Post go a long way in making all the accessories useful to any subscriber.

This issue included some beard maintenance tips for No-Shave November.

In place of the usual Deal of the Month page, this edition had a friendly PSA-style spread encouraging philanthropy and reminding you to drink responsibly.

They pack a lot of stuff into a little box!

Everything in my November box! Along with the expected accessories, the box had some cool kits, too!

Brooklyn Strong Mustache Cufflinks ($23): Better get yourself some French cuffs! Cufflinks are a common accessory in Gentleman’s Box, and this pair is perfectly suited to this hirsute edition. They are shaped like sheriff mustaches and are a stunning cobalt blue.

Barnaby Socks ($12): Comfy dress socks that lend some playful coordination to any suit. The blue is really lovely, and the dots add some visual interest and help tie them into slacks with a more restrained palette. The handy button keeps the socks together between wears.

Brooklyn Strong Tie Clip ($16): Brooklyn Strong pays homage to the resilience of the good folks of its namesake borough. The bright orange makes a statement and is sure to grab some attention.

Air Tailor Tie ($30): This tie is a deep navy with complementary orange-gold flowers. The colors go well with both the socks and tie clip.

The tie is a pleasant modern width.

The texture is nice, as well. It has a mild sheen that gives it a lush appearance, but it still has a matte look.

Oak & Stone Manicure Set ($25): A complete set of tools to care for your nails, and it has its own snap closure case for safekeeping.

The kit goes beyond your standard nail clippers and file, including scissors, a nail scrape, and a cuticle tool, too!

The last item is an innovative kit for tailoring your clothes. It’s really the at-home tool kit for a convenient tailoring by mail service.

You can get your clothes adjusted or repaired by an expert tailor without leaving your house. All pertinent info is exchanged before you send your clothes out, and pieces are turned around within a week!

Everything you need to prep your item for tailoring — a measuring tape, some pins and collar tabs, a mailing bag, and stickers for any sample items sent in to serve as templates.

Gentleman’s Box is a superb choice for men’s suit accessories. The items coordinate well, and they tend to be fashionable without being flashy. Each box is dedicated to a particular honoree, but they don’t necessarily speak to that person’s personal style or attire. This is a wonderful subscription for anyone who wears a tie regularly.
