From Japan Crate comes Kira Kira Crate, a box dedicated to Japanese beauty! Kira Kira means “to sparkle” and with this box full of makeup, skincare, and other tools from Japan, you will sparkle as well!

DEALS: Save $3 on your first box! Use coupon code HELLO.

The booklet included with the box has a brief welcome letter, a list of the products included, and additional pages give English instructions for each product.

Bath Salts — Everyone was sent a previously curated randomly chosen bath salts from the many Kira Kira Crate has sent out. I got one similar to the one sent out in February but in a different scent.

Shiseido Ferzea Hand Mist — Yay, a Shiseido product! And it’s actually super cool. It’s a hand spray that moisturizes without leaving hands sticky or greasy. I was skeptical but it really works! It leaves hands soft and smooth and you don’t leave smudges behind on your phone or your desk. It has a light citrus scent. You can also use it on the body and face.

Nonkuma x Hello Kitty Eye Patch — So… KKC actually sent out this same item previously back in the first box released in November. I’m a bit annoyed to see not one but TWO repeat items in this box. The patches themselves are reusable heated undereye patches. The effect is very subtle.

Hello Kitty Sara Sara Sheets — Sarasara sheets are pretty much wet wipes with deodorizing and cleansing on them, but they don’t leave your skin sticky. Because Japan is very humid, it’s nice to be able to wipe your skin dry and clean. It has a soapy scent. The sheets seem to have some sort of cooling effect as well, which was temporary but very refreshing.

Pure Smile Cherry Blossom Mask — …and yet another duplicate from the November box. Come on, Kira Kira — Pure Smile has like 459720934875209435 kinds of sheet mask, you couldn’t have just picked another?

BW Tint Gradient Lip and Cheek — A duo of reds you can use on the lips or cheeks. The darker red is meant for the lips and the lighter red can be used for both. I’ve tried the gradient effect before but I haven’t quite gotten the hang of it — this duo might help me perfect my technique!

Close up of the palette.

This month’s Kira Kira Crate has me torn. On the one hand, I am pretty annoyed that half the box was duplicate items we had received previously. On the other, the hand spray, sarasara sheets, and lip duo are awesome and I’m super excited to use them.
