From Japan Crate comes Kira Kira Crate, a box dedicated to Japanese beauty! Kira Kira means “to sparkle” and with this box full of makeup, skincare, and other tools from Japan, you will sparkle as well! I’ve always loved Japanese cosmetics, but they are extremely pricey. Even the drugstore lines, adorable as they are, are costly to import. There have been a few boxes that have tried to do a J-beauty box, but it really is cost prohibitive, so I’m very excited to see what Kira Kira Crate has in store!

The booklet included with the box has a brief welcome letter, a list of the products included, and additional pages give English instructions for each product.

I was surprised to find a makeup tutorial on the last page – and it caters to various skin tones and eye shapes, which is great!

Nonkuma x Hello Kitty Eye Patch This was one of the spoiler items! These eye patches use heat to go deeper beyond the skin’s surface to remove dark circles. They are also reusable, which is great. I didn’t notice the heating effect with these unless I touched them with my fingertips, and even then the effect was very muted.

Choosy Lip Patch I’ve always wanted to try one of these! The lip pack is a giant pair of lips made of a jelly like material. It’s not as wet with essence as a sheet mask, but it left my lips feeling hydrated and soft. I wore mine for the suggested 30 minutes.

Pure Smile Cherry Blossom Essence Mask It wouldn’t be a Japanese beauty box without a sheet mask, too. This one includes vitamin E, collagen, hyaluronic acid, and arbutin as well as cherry blossom essence.

Kracie Naive Face Wash OMG, I am SO excited to see this! I have used Kracie’s Naive line before, but only their shampoo and body wash. I love the real peach scent of this, and can’t wait to add it to my skincare regime.

Family Honey Soap Soap that smells like honey? Yes, please. It also has royal jelly in it to soften skin.

Yuzu Bath Tablet Japan makes awesome bath fizzies. I’m excited to try this one!

Super Exte Eyelashes There were four variations of these lashes sent out. I love that they even include a tube of lash glue as well! I like these lashes, they aren’t too crazy and would add natural length and volume for me. I have a Christmas party in a couple weeks so the timing worked out well!

Hotto Mie Eye Mask Oh my gosh, these are awesome. They are heated eye masks that are in the shape of masquerade masks. They remind me of Tuxedo Kamen’s mask on Sailor Moon, haha! They heat up when you take them out of the package and stay heated for an hour! I was impressed. They have holes to keep them hooked onto your ears and firmly in place. There are 5 in the package.

Here’s what it looks like with the ear holes. It was comfortable to wear and didn’t slip down my face.

The debut Kira Kira Crate had an emphasis on skincare and included eight items altogether. With my previous knowledge of Japanese products, I can say this box would work out to be around the price of the subscription. Japanese beauty products aren’t cheap, and to include more makeup items would dramatically hike up the cost of the box. I’m overall happy, though – I love the Naive face wash, the eye masks, and the soap and bath tablet. I like that we were only sent one sheet mask (two if you include the lip mask) as these can sometimes feel like ‘filler’ items.

What did you think of the November Kira Kira Crate?
