Nerd Block Jr is a subscription box for boys or girls ages 6-11 (you pick the box – boy or girl) that is a monthly surprise of fun little toys for your little nerd. They’re part of the Nerd Block Family – check any of them out here.

DEAL: Save 15% on your first month with coupon code HelloSub16.

The outside of the box is so engaging, and the information card has a picture puzzle! This is a fun box for a child to receive!

Everything in the May 2017 box!

National Geographic Kids Magazine May 2017 Issue ($4.99)

We always look forward to the National Geographic Kids issue that come with every Nerd Block Jr. box. This magazine sure knows how to capture kids’ attention with those fun trivia + awesome photos and illustrations!

The magazine also includes full length articles for the young reader to devour.

This month’s issue was a hit, especially with the funny fill-ins. I found the box rifled through and the magazine missing 🙂

Kitty Club Blind Bag ($7.99)

Kitty Club is a new to me blind bag collectible line!

Every bag comes with a cat, a hat, and a little card.

More info on Kitty Club!

When the cat is laying down her eyes close!

A super sparkly glittery hat.

There’s those green eyes.

Grace the cat.

The tail keeps her up. She’s totally flocked.

Heart Alarm Clock: This has been the biggest hit amongst all my kids! They are absolutely fascinated by it, probably because we don’t own anything quite like it.

It’s just a little digital alarm clock (the settings buttons are on the back) but a total hit!

Disney Princess Jewelry Set

This set seemed a little young for the target market. The rings aren’t adjustable.

My 8 year old daughter is pretty much well past this style of jewelry.

It’s a fun Ariel and Flounder scene!

Care Bears Cheeseburger Love T-Shirt

All of us went nuts over this shirt! Carebear + cheeseburgers? It’s so fabulous we just can’t even get started.

Zomben Comics #1 ($3.99) This series just launched and it’s a cool addition to the box

TITAN1STUDIOS (W) Mike Heneghan (A/CA) Abel Cicero After surviving the ‘Multipocalypse’, Ben tries to live a normal life, hiding the fact that he is infected with a zombie plague. His new friends have just found out … and they think it’s kind of cool. Together, they’ll face killer robots, missing moms and the threat of new apocalypses. Plural.

We really liked this month’s box and nearly everything was a hit – although the inclusion of both the cutesy Disney Princess jewelry set + the Zomben comic was somewhat disconsonant. We tucked the jewelry set away for a future birthday party gift (which this box is also great for!). Overall it was a hit and another good month – and if you happened to have a younger child, she might be more into the jewelry and less into the comic! Win for everyone!
