No house related items this month – I was surprised!
I don’t even think this full-color multi-page booklet is necessary because the items really do speak for themselves, but it’s nice to see the variations. A flat card would suffice!

“Always” Snap-Back Skater Cap
This embroidered snapback features the stag – James & Harry’s Patronus – in blue, and the word Always. See this tearjerker review while you’re at it. I’m not really clear on what they’re getting at here – was it a mistake? Are they bringing the Snape/Lilly story and mixing it with James/Harry? I think the white outlining is meaningful here and that they’re combining them.
My boys are fighting over this one (my 6 year old because it’s blue and Harry Potter, and my 2 year old, because he loves hats!).
This is a great item!
“I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good” T-Shirt: This shirt bears the phrase that unlocks the Marauder’s Map!
What a cute design with a nice gold finish!
“Always” T-Shirt: This shirt combines a variety of imagery from Harry Potter:
Hogwarts, a death eater, Harry’s scar, Harry, the stag, Always, and the quote “It matters not what someone is born but what they grow to be.”
“The Weapon We Have Is Love” Long Sleeve: This is so cute, but a bit of a bummer because the sweatshirt runs smaller than the shirts.

The sweatshirt design looked familiar to me, and indeed, it was lifted from Risa Rodil and her work with the Harry Potter Alliance. You can find and purchase the original here. Since GeekGear has been focusing on licensing exclusive official items, you’d think they’d know better.
