Amoda Tea is a Canadian premium tea subscription. Each month hand-selected teas are sent out, from all over North America and beyond. They source the tea from small companies to support them and help them grow. There are two flavours of box available — the original and low-caffeine. This is a review of the original box. Both cost $20, have free shipping to Canada/US (no international shipping yet), and you can also add on some extra bonuses like a travel set, a teaspoon, or more filters if you are a tea-drinking monster like me. They also have a tasty tea guarantee — if you don’t like a tea in your box, they’ll replace it in your next box!
A few years ago, when I was first getting into steeped tea, Amoda was one of the original Canadian tea subscriptions. I subbed for a while, though with my pickier palette I found I wasn’t into that kind of commitment at the time. Now that I’ve been drinking looseleaf exclusively for years, and have a proper tea kettle that doesn’t burn green tea, I’d call myself far more adventurous. I’m super happy Amoda is still around and am definitely excited to see what they’re up to since I last checked them out.

A cute tea print postcard was included!
The information page has lots of information on it including the teas chosen, instructions on making cold brew tea, and information about social media and discounts.
The packages of tea themselves are clear so you can see how pretty the leaves are inside. Four different tea houses are featured, including Amoda’s in-house blend as well!
Strawberry Shortcake by Naked Teas — a rooibos with strawberry and vanilla. I’m definitely going to try this one iced using the cold brew method, but it would also be good hot with milk and sugar!
Perfectly Pear by Sloane Teas — a delicate white tea with pear essence. I’m looking forward to trying this one.
Spring Blossom by Oolloo Tea — an oolong with jasmine and vanilla that they suggest cold-brewing. It sounds refreshing — mine is in the fridge chilling right now.
Madagascar Dream by Amoda Teas — an in-house blend of cocao from Madagascar and Peru, with a hint of mint. This was heavenly with breakfast, with cream and a bit of sugar. Like hot chocolate but it felt much healthier!
This little tube was hiding in the bottom as well; it’s a nice stack of disposable tea filters.
It was so exciting trying Amoda Tea again, seeing what’s changed and what’s the same. The care that has gone into the selection is obvious and I love all the small details like the sticker with our names on it, the postcard, and the little letter on the info card. I think this tea subscription is affordable and a full package. It would be an awesome Mother’s Day gift with that time coming up, too!
