TokyoTreat is a Japanese treat box that is shipped directly from Japan. TokyoTreat has three levels of boxes, which seems to be the norm with snack boxes. Shipping is included with the boxes ($14.99 for mini, $24.99 for regular, $34.99 for premium).

The TokyoTreat magazine is read right to left like Japanese books and comics. It includes the product information as well as information on Japanese culture, the monthly giveaway, instructions for the DIY kit, and other features.

March’s box was themed Matcha and Sakura. I’m not a huge matcha fan, so I’m a bit bummed out that it’s going to be a focus this month.

DEAL: Use code NEWTOKYOTREAT at checkout to get $5 off your Premium box every month! This is a RECURRING coupon code and expires 3/31!

Most of the popular snack boxes have this sort of tiered system with three levels of size!

Here’s what’s included in the small box!

Sakura Mochi I’ve tried these before recently – it’s hard to describe the flavour! It’s meant to emulate the flavour of red bean paste wrapped in a pickled cherry blossom leaf, but in chocolate. It’s definitely interesting.

Sequoia Chocolate Matcha Flavour A green tea chocolate between wafers.

Strawberry Cotton Candy Yep, this is actually a wad of super fluffy cotton candy in a cup. Valerie approves, her dentist will not…

Cola Diamond Ring Yep, it’s a ring pop. How 90s is this? It has a cola flavour.

Pickled Sakura Daikon I’ll admit, I actually was afraid to try this. Daikon is a Japanese radish. These are pickled and are sour, and very crunchy. I didn’t love them, but they weren’t bad.

Poteco Delicious Salt I loved these, they are crunchy potato chip rings. Not too salty – and you can wear them on your fingers!

Harvest Rich Matcha Chocolate Sandwich Bite-sized cookies with matcha chocolate filling.

The regular box includes all of the above, plus:

Animal Soft Candy DIY Tokyo Treat always includes a DIY kit. This one involves soft candies you press into animal shaped molds.

Green Tea Mini Pies Tiny flaky pastries with chocolate inside. These went into work with me and created a bunch of fans!

Peach Caramel Corn Tohato brings another crazy flavour of their corn snack – peach!

Animal Land Grape Gummies Gummies in the shape of animals.

And finally, the premium box, which includes everything in the small and regular, plus:

Chopsticks I have seriously upped my chopsticks game thanks to Tokyo Treat. These pastel pink and green chopsticks are perfect for spring and have a lovely cherry blossom design.

Cherry Milk Tea Mmm, milk tea! I love my tea with plenty of milk and enjoyed this a lot. The cherry taste is light and I don’t taste it much. It’s not too sweet either.

Sakura Saku Latte Candy Assorted individually wrapped candies in coffee, green tea, strawberry, and banana.

DARS Matcha Flavour Rich chocolate with bitter green tea center.

Sakura Konpeito I love konpeito – it’s that pretty star candy that always shows up in Studio Ghibli movies!

It has a strong strawberry flavour!

This month’s Tokyo Treat was a miss for me – I don’t like matcha so most of the box didn’t interest me, and there were only a couple of items I really enjoyed. But that’s just me and my personal taste – what did you guys think of this month’s Tokyo Treat?

Yeah, same with me, I’m not a huge fan of matcha so the box was a miss for me, though I did love the green tea mini pies
