Everything in my December 2016 My Purrfect Gift Box!
BubbleCatShop Cat Christmas Cards ($2 each on Etsy). The box included three cards with hipster cat design by BubbleCatShop.
The cards are a small 3.5 x 5” and the paper is quite light, but I do really like the design. They will make nice cards for my cat-loving friends.
Infinite Fluffs Woolen Kitten Charm ($6.29 on Etsy). This woolen charm by Infinite Fluffs is in the shape of a kitten head wearing a silver holly ornament as a barrette.
The charm is so cute and delicate that I will keep it as a decoration on my desk at work where it will stay nice and clean, rather than in my purse or phone as suggested.
Rose Cottage Pillows Snowflake Cat Shelf Sitters ($10 on Etsy). The handmade cat shelf sitter in red snowflake print fabric by Rose Cottage Pillows makes a nice subtle Christmas-y decoration for the home.
Cat and Snowflake Necklace (£12.99, about $16). Probably my favorite item in the box was this sterling silver necklace with a hanging cat charm and snowflake charm.
The chain is my ideal length (not too short, not too long) and the cat charm is adorable – just like the ‘hang in there’ poster cat! The snowflake charm adds a nice seasonal element to the piece. Very classy.
Gingerbread-man Toy. Hands-down my two kitties’ favorite object in the box was the gingerbread man toy by 4cats.
It’s large for a cat toy, 7” long, and made with durable fabric and nicely embroidered details.
The toy is stuffed with valerian, which is an herb used to treat human conditions such as sleeplessness and anxiety.
I was unfamiliar with its use in cat toys, but both my kitties took an instant liking to the toy and continued to play and snuggle with it a week after opening, with no end in sight.
The one drawback is that it has an extremely pungent and unpleasant scent for human noses, much stronger than any catnip toy I’ve encountered.
The smell does dissipate after a while (or I’ve just gotten used to it!) but this hasn’t lessened the cats’ enjoyment.
I (and both my cats) really enjoyed this box. It came with a nice range of fashionable and tasteful accessories for cat lovers, as well as some nice treats for their feline companions.
