Chef’d is a meal kit delivery service delivered straight to your door – you get pre-portioned ingredients to prepare delicious meals at home! Chef’d is unique, in that they offer several meal plans designed by their partners, including Atkins, Weight Watchers, American Diabetes Association, and many others specializing in nutrition or just culinary excellence.  There are tons of recipes to choose from within each plan.

TIP: Prices vary by meal – this one was $43 and serves four. The price for a 2 person meal was $33 so up-sizing makes complete sense, and many of the meals have a deep discount for getting that second set of servings. There’s free shipping for orders over $40 (before the discount!).

You select how many servings you want to receive, as well as the number of meals per week. This meal delivery service is a little different than some of the others we’ve reviewed – there are tons of options – hundreds of recipes – along with the subscription meal plans.

The shop also lets you filter the meals quickly and when you sign up you can quickly state any allergens and your preference in proteins so your meals are pre-screened!

DEAL: Save $10 on your first order with this link! We bought the giant meal shown for $33 with this offer.

You can also get 250 loyalty rewards points when you sign up. No coupon needed – just use this link to subscribe.

The format of the recipe card should be very familiar to anyone who has tried a meal kit subscription, as nearly everyone uses this format now. The front includes a photo of the prepared meal, a list of items you’ll need from home, and even a Kitchen 411 blurb and drink pairing suggestions.

The back has a full listing of the box’s contents, as well as info on number of servings, cooking time, allergens, skill level required, and spice level of the dish. Chef’d has great instructions, and they are easy to follow even if you are an inexperienced cook. With the exception of nutrition information (fat and calories), the Chef’d card packs in more info than most services. I think only Hello Fresh has a more comprehensive info and recipe card.

The food was bagged neatly together, with meat and larger items packed separately.

A cardboard sheet protects the produce from direct contact with the ice packs below, so the vegetables stay cold without wilting. The meat was in the bottom compartment with several large ice packs.

Everything in my box! Our Chef’d included Quaker’s Overnight Oats and some Coca-Cola Life, as bonuses. too.

Beef Bourguignon With Mashed Potatoes And Herbed Green Beans. 50 minutes, easy, 260 calories per serving.

Beef tenderloin elevates this classic comfort-food. This lean cut of meat cooks more quickly than classic stew meat and still delivers everything we love about Beef Bourguignon.

You will create a rich sauce studded with golden mushrooms and pearl onions, enhanced with plenty of red wine and just enough smoky bacon. A sauce this good deserves a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and some crisp green beans seasoned with lots of fresh, woodsy thyme. Bon appétit!

We loved the way this dish turned out! The sauce was really delicious and flavorful, bringing together bacon and beef in a wine-soaked demi-glace style melange. I love onions and mushrooms, so it was like eating a super concentrated beef stew with only the best parts included. The beef was very tender, even though the recipe didn’t require a lengthy cooking time – this was thanks to using tenderloin in place of the usual stew cuts. The beans were fresh and tasty, and the potatoes were perfect for soaking up all the yummy sauce. Despite its classy appearance, this meal cooked fairly quickly and was very easy to put together.

Our box included a free kit for making Quaker Overnight Oats!

Quaker® Overnight Oats With Blueberries And Honey. 5 minutes, easy, 270 calories per serving.

Nothing is worse than leaving the house on an empty stomach. Fill your belly and your soul with delicious overnight oats, packed with blueberries, honey, and delicious Greek yogurt. Assemble this simple breakfast before you go to bed, and wake to enjoy a cool and creamy—yet hearty—delicious oat breakfast. Your morning will be chaos-free!

The blueberry and honey version was quite tasty, with the oats and milk becoming silky and creamy overnight.

Coca Cola Life: We also received a couple of bottles of Coca-Cola Life, the newest version of Coke that is sweetened with cane sugar and Stevia.

A coupon was included, too. The Life version doesn’t have the cloying feel of the corn syrup sweetened Classic, and the Stevia adds a very sweet finish. I like it better than Classic, but I prefer Coke Zero to either.

We like Chef’d a whole bunch! There are so many recipe collections from which to choose, that anyone can find recipes to fit their preferences. The ingredients are top quality, and the recipes have turned out well. The instructions are very clear and thorough, suitable for both novices and experienced cooks.

I like the meals offered, but this seems quite a bit more expensive than any other dinner kit subscription, even HelloFresh. I think this is unique in that you can gear your meals toward specific diet plans, but it is cost-prohibitive for me.

I meant Plated, which is the most expensive dinner kit subscription I have encountered (and that’s only by a few bucks more than most of the others).

Hi guys. I’m having trouble applying the code. After following your discount link, I’m prompted to enter my email address and click a “Get My $10” button — but nothing happens when I click it. Seems the button may not be working. I tried using Safari, Chrome, and Firefox (I was pretty excited about this offer), and got the same results. SOS?

Hmmm I am not sure but I will send you a coupon. I know it worked earlier!
