Ladies of Legend is the only exclusively female character based subscription box. They feature two female comic book characters each month (a hero and a villain or antihero) from Marvel or DC. They always include a graphic novel or multiple comics starring our female lead, a Funko figure, and 2-5 other items, one of which is usually a “girly item, such as jewelry or bath products. They also offer t-shirts with exclusive art in the “Super” version of the box! This is for the December Wonder Woman Hero Box which had a price of $29.99 + $8 flat rate shipping. Depending on your box selection and whether you choose a t-shirt or not the price will change.

I’m all about female superheroes both hero and villain so I could not wait to get inside this box and see what was included. While I do not know as much about Wonder Woman as some of the other heroes I do still think she is pretty fabulous. I remember the tv show with Lynda Carter and I love that she is now on Supergirl and I can see her there. She made a funny little comment about seeing her other jet in an episode and I was flipping out. I’m also excited to see the new movie when it comes out since I think Gal Gadot has the perfect Wonder Woman look and attitude.

First look in the box and I could already see lots of wonderful goodies.

Everything in my December Wonder Woman box.

The box comes with an info card with descriptions and prices of the included items.

Wonder Woman: Earth One Vol 1. ($15.63) – The graphics in this look amazing and I can’t wait to read this retelling of the origin story. Check out a page below. This will be a great primer for me since I don’t really know Wonder Woman’s whole story and it will get me ready for all that is to come.

From the masterful minds of Grant Morrison (FINAL CRISIS, THE MULTIVERSITY) and Yanick Paquette (SWAMP THING, BATMAN, INC.) comes the most provocative origin of Wonder Woman you’ve ever seen—a wholly unique retelling that still honors her origins.

For millennia, the Amazons of Paradise Island have created a thriving society away from the blight of man. One resident, however, is not satisfied with this secluded life—Diana, Princess of the Amazons, knows there is more in this world and wants to explore, only to be frustrated by her protective mother, Hippolyta. Diana finds her escape when Air Force pilot Steve Trevor, the first man she has ever seen, crashes onto their shores. With his life hanging in the balance, Diana ventures into the long forbidden world of men. The Amazons chase after her and bring her back to Paradise Island in chains to face trial for breaking their oldest law—staying separated from the world that wronged them.

Thought-provoking yet reverent, thoroughly modern but still timeless, the power and courage of Paradise Island’s greatest champion—Wonder Woman—is introduced in this new addition to DC Comics’ New York Times best-selling Earth One original graphic novel series.

Funko Mopeez: Wonder Woman Batman vs Superman Plush ($6.75) – Oh my gosh, she is so cute and you can really never have too many plushies or Funko anything. She looks so ferocious in this one which is pretty much the Mopeez look and I love it.

Wonder Woman Logo Necklace ($10) – This is really nicely made and will show your love. This is a bit much for me but my friend’s daughter is a huge Wonder Woman fan and will totally love this so I’m going to pass it on to her.

Wonder Woman Gal Gadot Portrait Magnet From Steve Baier Art ($4) – Stunning artwork and depiction. We have a fridge full of magnets and this one is going right on there.

A Ladies of Legend sticker – I love the logo and all the silhouettes.

Wonder Woman Sticker From Jewelians ($1) – Isn’t she so cute? I can’t wait to add this one to a scrapbook page that I’m feeling particularly awesome on since all moms are Wonder Women this will be a great addition to a page all about me.

Wonder Woman Toon Tumbler Shotglass ($8.94) – The boxes came with either the classic one that I got or one with a bombshell look to her. I’m happy with my classic one and we’ve already added it to our stash of shot glasses.

I was really happy with my Ladies of Legend Wonder Woman box this month. I can’t wait to read my book and check out all that is going on with her story. If you had opted for the villain this month you would have gotten items for Catwomen and they also look amazing. If you missed out on this box you can purchase past boxes on their site if they are available and also any t-shirts they still have left.

They have already announced the characters for the next Ladies of Legend box. You can pick from either Spider-Gwen as your hero or Black Widow as your Villain.

SPIDER-GWEN! Although I take issue to them labelling Black Widow as a villain.

I had the same thought when I saw it but since I don’t know the comics I wondered if I was missing something.
