I’m so excited to review another of CutiePieMarzia’s subscription boxes! It’s a quarterly box curated by CutiePieMarzia, who is an Italian Youtuber (and the girlfriend of PewDiePie). I love her fashion style, so I was really happy to hear she had her own subscription box! Speaking of the box, how cute is it?! I am loving the adorable travel print, and I totally want to hang onto this box to keep something in, maybe makeup samples or something!

There are 2 versions of this box – the regular one for $29 per quarter, and the Very-Important-Marzipan box for $89. This is a review of the regular box.

Everything is hiding under a pile of yellow squiggles…

img_5007

Wow, there’s a long list of items listed on the card! I can’t wait to dive in…

img_5009

Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast ($15) – This is a very new product from Living Proof, a spray that promises to add instant volume without making your hair crunchy or hard. It has a nice clean scent. Plus, we were sent a promo code for a free travel size (like the one we were sent) with the purchase of the full-size – just use the code MARZIA at check-out!

Benefit They’re Real! Mascara ($10.33) – They’re Real is probably the only Benefit mascara I like, so I’m happy to see a small travel size I can tuck in my bag for my vacation. I don’t curl my lashes so I don’t know how well it holds a curl, but for me, it adds nice length and definition to my blonde lashes.

Caolion 02 Sparkling Blackhead Soap ($3.40) – Caolion is a Korean beauty brand, and this soap is one of their most popular items. I’ve never used a charcoal soap before so I’m excited to see how it works with my skin. It helps with blackheads, exfoliates, helps control oil, and also hydrates. This soap sounds like it would work for all skin types, which is interesting as I normally reach for formulas tailored to normal/dry.

Black Choker Necklace – Okay, this is nothing more than faux suede string, which is kind of… weird. I mean, you definitely could tie it around your neck for a super simple choker look, but I’m thinking a bit more creatively; I personally would string a charm on it and wear it with a little extra bling.

Fuzzy Pink Earrings ($5?) – These earrings have a pink furry finish with a hint of shimmer. I don’t have pierced ears but all my friends do, so I’m sure I can find these a happy home.

Yes to Cucumbers Calming Paper Mask ($2.99) – This sheet mask is infused with both soothing cucumber and refreshing menthol. I have a huge box of sheet masks, I use them almost daily before bed. I’m bringing this one with me on vacation; I think it will feel nice after a day out in the sun!

Palmer’s Flipbalm ($2.99) – This reminded me of the Eos lip balms but it actually is one piece, you flip the lid back to expose the dome of lip balm. Unfortunately, mine just smelled and tasted really off, like it had gone bad, so I had to toss it. I love the packaging, though, and is handy for when you don’t want to fiddle with a lid.

Paul & Joe Beaute Moisturising Foundation Primer S 03 ($11.88) – Paul & Joe is one of my favourite Japanese beauty brands, and they have recently become more mainstream and popular in North America. The packaging is always so pretty! Marzia selected the 03 shade of this primer, which is clear and suitable for all skin types. It’s not a thick, silicone feeling primer (think Benefit or Smashbox) but is rather a thin lotion that moisturizes the skin while prepping for makeup.

Quick unblended swatch so you can see the consistency of the primer.

Derma E Hydrating Mist ($13.50) – So I’ve been sick in bed all week, nursing a cold, and general just feeling super blah and gross. This little spray arrived at the perfect time, as I’ve been spraying my face and neck every few hours to bring some moisture into my skin. The smell is also great and lingers around for a while after. Derma E products are 100% natural, vegan, cruelty-free, and also free of harmful chemicals.

img_5013

Custom Marzia Popsocket ($15) – Eee! I was so excited when I saw a Popsocket! They’re a little adhesive button you stick to the bottom of your phone and then pop out to turn it into a phone stand, phone grip, earbud organiser, and more. This one features custom art by Marzia (it matches the box!) and I think it’s cool that so far in both boxes I’ve received, we’ve had a very cool exclusive Marzia item you can’t buy anywhere else. Word of note for the Popsocket if you get one – it pops out in two stages. I only pulled it out one stage when I got it, and was confused as to why my phone kept tipping over. I’m also happy to have a way to grip my phone more securely!

Valley Cruise Retro Record Player Pin ($10) – We were sent a pin in the Summer box too, and since they’re my new obsession I definitely am not complaining! I put these on either my mini backpack or on my jean jacket. I love the look of this record player!

Marzia Halloween Movie Colouring Book – This is really cute! It’s Marzia’s list of best spooky Halloween movies, as well as a coloring book.

img_5017

She and I share the same opinion about all of the Japanese horror movies that have been remade in the last 10 years – the original Ringu was sooooo much creepier, lacking the “BLEH!” jump scares and instead just making you feel more and more uneasy as the 7 days ticked down…

img_5018

Marzia Memory Game – This simple match game features original artwork of Marzia’s favorite things! I see her pugs Maya and Edgar, as well as Halloween treats and other fall goodies.

img_5019

YumEarth Fruit Snacks – Oh man, these are addicting. They taste like real fruit, not overly sugar imitations of fruit. I was so hungry and deprived of normal food when I got my box that I gobbled these down as soon as I was done taking photos – mmm, solid food. They are really good!

The fall box had a value of over $90! Wow, I’m again impressed with how much fun stuff Marzia was able to pack into the regular box. Some items were a miss for me but the majority were awesome items. I love that we were sent another exclusive item, and the Marzia-created coloring book and game were a really nice touch as well.
