We Are Onyx ONYXBOX April 2016 Subscription Box Review

OnyxBox from We Are Onyx delivers 5 deluxe-size or full size hair, skin, make up and lifestyle products curated for Women of Color from high-end brands from around the world for only $25 a month.

This box is packed really nicely! I forgot to take photos of the information card, but I’ll remember for next time! It doesn’t list the contents anyways.

TreLuxe Curl Supreme ($2.75) normally retails for $22 and might be my new favorite product. This styling creme made me full in love all over again with my naturally curly hair. It’s thick, smooth and rich and left my curls with definition and shine.

NCLA’s Tropicala and Check Me Down Petite Nail Wraps ($9 each – $18) are a fantastic way to liven up a manicure or pedicure. These wraps are quick and easy to apply, they also come with a mini nail file. I like the small package size as I tend to change my nails 2-3 times a week and won’t get bored with the same pattern each time.

Curl Keeper Leave-In Conditioner ($7.50)  I wouldn’t classify my hair as rough or dry but I did like the results of using this product. The light scent was not the most enjoyable to me but with a little of my normal product on top of it the smell was gone. This conditioner did make my curls touchable and helped keep the frizz at ease. Hikari Cream Pigment in Glam and Cosmic ($13 each – $26) bright and bold. These eye-shadows go on smooth and even with a brush, for an all day, no smudge wear. Also cleans off the brush with ease and a little water.

Ogx Penetrating Oil ($7.99) is from my favorite hair care line. I thought adding extra oil would make for a very sloppy and terrible hair day. This oil actually made my hair shine and smell better than normal. A small amount of this product goes a very long way. Not something I’d use everyday but definitely worth adding to my hair care regime everyone once in a while.

Onyx Box is a small box with extreme quality and bang – about $62 retail value! I was pleasantly surprised with every item I received. I look forward to seeing what next month will bring.
