Birchbox Winter Essentials Box December 2015 Review + Coupon Code

Birchbox is a beauty sampling subscription box. You’ll get at least 5 items every month (I often get more – like this month!) to try out and see what you love. Birchbox is $10 a month, plus you accumulate points after reviewing the items in your box! You’ll get 10 points per item reviewed, and 100 points are equal to $10 in the shop.  Every month you can select between a sample choice to get a box tailored to your profile, or a pre-curated box. This is the curated Winter Essentials box for December.

derma e Microdermabrasion Scrub ($8.13) I love microdermabrasion scrubs! Derma e has made it into a curated Birchbox before (February 2015!) but this product was new to me. It has a marvelous lemony scent. I use scrubs like this once or twice a week (I keep them in my shower!), whenever I need a little brightening.

Coastal Scents StyleEYES Palette in GlamourEYES ($1) This eyeshadow formulation was actually pretty nice – but I may put this one in the Halloween makeup pile (where I put all the “out there” colors that we’d only use on Halloween!).

Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain in Forever Peach I didn’t swatch this one! Whoops! It leaves a great peach stain on your lips and the formula itself is enriching and moisturizing.

eSalon Perfect Ending Leave-In Conditioner ($3) I recently reviewed the eSalon subscription and I really like the products! This sample will help me decide if it would be good to buy full-size for my daughter – we go through loads of serums and leave-in conditioners with the kids’ hair!

Juara Coconut Illipe Hand and Nail Balm ($2.16) Totally rich and luxurious – this is more of a hand treatment than a hand cream! This also makes an awesome pair with the Juara cream in my Winter FabFit Fun box! This is a hydration product and not so much a barrier product – I would put on underneath lotion.

Chuao Chocolatier Cinnamon Cereal Smooch ($1.25) Ummm I had to show you what it looked like? I totally ate the whole thing directly after the review. YUM! I bought myself the entire chocopod set last month and it’s in my desk for a rainy day. I love Chuao’s flavors! This really was like cinnamon toast crunch inside milk chocolate. I loved it! It’s also a great bonus item that makes this box totally giftable.

There wasn’t a size on the Jane Iredale (never is), so that always makes it hard to estimate the value, but it’s somewhere around $25.
