The Match Up is a new subscription box from eSalon.   Receive your choice of three hair care, styling, brow and accessory items from eSalon.  They offer products for color care, volumizing, and more. There’s also a 100% guarantee. Normally $30 per month plus $4.95 shipping, you can your first box for half off.

You’ll be able to select your products manually or use the discovery feature to generate your profile to get matched with items! And there are a lot of them. FYI, on their site you can click on each item for additional information and pricing information. Just like Honest Company sometimes it makes more sense to place the items in your add-on section!

When I opened my box I was greeted with a custom printed card for the items inside. I thought this was a nice touch, even though I had selected my items myself.

eSalon Big Love Color Safe Volumizing Shampoo ($15) I could tell when I pumped this into my hands that it was definitely a volumizing shampoo. It didn’t have a lot of “give” to it and the density of the shampoo was something I recognized as strand-coating ingredients. It must be the proteins in it. It’s a clear shampoo with lots of lather.

I enjoyed this set and I could definitely see that it was volumizing. I’ve been using a keratin shampoo sample before switching to this one and my hair definitely had more volume with this set. I love that it is color-safe too. I’m going to have to get my color on.

eSalon Everlasting Locks Style Saving Shower Cap ($14) I could not resist this gorgeous shower cap! It has a fantastic design and is totally lined with terry cloth. The elastic band is totally covered (and the pattern is totally cute, too). This was high quality and will help you save your blowout for one extra day.

eSalon Coloring Time Protective Cape ($10) I added this one as a bonus item.  It’s intended as a color protecting cape but you may have already guessed that I picked it up for when I cut my kids’ hair! It is water resistant and will work great for coloring too while still giving you plenty of room to move your arms.

There are a couple more items that I would love to try – specifically the temporary brow color and a few of the shine-adding and conditioning products, oh and the volumizing mousse too!  I was impressed with the packaging of this subscription with the reusable drawstring bag and the seals on the shampoo and conditioner.  I had good results with those and will continue using them.This box came really fast too – in just a few days time.
