Surprising nobody, Birchbox ran out of mascara and ended its beta program. It actually improved a lot over the past couple months, but just like Loot Crate’s Level Up program – I think these sorts of subscription add-ons have to provide the same level of value as the regular subscription.
October will be the last month for the upgraded box. I’m excited to see what they come up with next – and would be really happy if they launched a lifestyle subscription like Popsugar Must Have Box, but I’m not holding my breath!
