Kloverbox Subscription Box Review & Coupon – August 2015

The theme for August was Detox & Diminish and featured a heavy dose of charcoal and line-attacking products. This month was very skin focused, but all the boxes are different – it just depends on the month.  Kloverbox is an eco-conscious subscription that focuses on providing updates and replacements to conventional products.

Jacq’s Organics Fancy Detox Soap Bar ($3) This is fancy! Look at those little bits! The main ingredients are activated charcoal, clay, shea butter, coconut oil and cocoa butter, plus aloe for healing and lemon and anise essential oils. My husband loves black soap, he’ll be so excited! The scent is great too – clove, orange, patchouli, and vanilla.

Bedrock and Bloom Smart Ash ($) OMG IT’S BLACK! For your teeth! This is sort of freaking me out, but I get it! I don’t think I want to brush my teeth with ashes but it’s worth a try (and I think it’s good that it was really only a sample to see if it’s something you’re interested in doing.  I have never heard of this product before but I’m going to do it. I cannot believe that black stuff is going to whiten my teeth.

Can I say that this box is making me really excited for the black nail polishes that I know will be coming for October? That is all.

Mychelle Dermaceuticals Wrinkle Spot Treatment ($38.50) I’ve come to expect a lot from Kloverbox, but wow! I love this brand, and I absolutely adore the metal rollerball applicator so I can smooth it on while I’m working and it won’t be messy. I often forget to serum-ize and this will be so handy at my desk to apply the natural actives and peptides (great for hydrating) around my eye area when I remember.

Angel Face Botanicals Super Detox Facial Cleanser ($13) It’s black! I have used charcoal cleansers before but I didn’t read the label first really so it was a surprise!

Traditional Medicinals Tea – Organic EveryDay Detox (Lemon) + Organic Roasted Dandelion Root. Both caffeine free!

This was a great theme, and a great box, with almost $60 in value and some really excellent products and unique things to try. I thought the theme was fun and while I’m not sure that charcoal really detoxifies anything, I think it’s something that subscribers to this box would be very interested in trying out for themselves. It did feel a little light in items (most of the value was concentrated on one item), but it was still a good mix. I am just hoping this box isn’t turning into a beauty box entirely, because some of my favorite items have been their home items!
