Everything in the August Deluxe box!  There was a nice mix of savory and sweet snacks.

White Cheddar Jalapeno Gourmet Popcorn by Pop Art:  Nice and light, the cheddar topping isn’t too heavy, and the jalapeño adds some nice edgy zip.

Shasta Chipotle Lime Multigrain Chips by Lundbery Family Farms:  I could tell that these chips had beans among the ingredients, as they have the characteristic sweet umami taste of a bean chip.  The seasoning is nice and tangy (chili-lime style), but the chips have a crispless crunch that approaches that of a stale corn tortilla chip.  I think it is a product of the seed and bean elements that take some of the life out of the grains’ crunch.

Original Shoestring Potatoes by Pik-Nik:  The original pantry french fry is still a crunchy delight.  Very crispy, and a bit greasy,  bet you can’t leave any in the can! [Brandy: No, no he didn’t leave any.]

Crisped Harvest Sea Salt Vegetables by Bandar Foods:  The veggies are amazingly crisp and pristine — I’m not sure if they are freeze dried or just fried, but even the okra was crisp (and not at all mushy), with all the seeds intact.  The purple sweet potato were my fave!

Pitted Greek Olive Mix by Olympos:  These are great for eating on the go or throwing on a salad or antipasto.  I like to throw these in my cooking – the herbs are a classic Mediterranean mix and go well with many dishes.

Wasabi Roasted Broad Beans by Enlightened:  The beans have a light flavor, not at all like black bean or pinto chips.  In fact, they taste almost exactly like wasabi peas!

Popped Salted Caramel KIND Healthy Grains Bar:  Made of healthy “super” grains and less-refined sugars.  The crispy crackle of the quinoa and the oats pair to create a popcorn-like mouthfeel — I though for sure there was popped corn in their, until I looked at the ingredients.  Sweet and hearty, I’m glad they included two of these in the box.

Original Naan Crisps by Stonefire:  I was expecting these to be cut up pieces of naan, similar to pita chips, but they were actually tiny little naan (duh… I should have looked more closely at the package).  Very good, but they are very similar to a water cracker and there is nothing aside from the shape to really distinguish them as a “naan” cracker.   Two tiny bags of these versatile crackers came with the box.

Apple Hard Candy by Go Organic:  Made from organic juice, these hard candies are a natural choice when you want a little something sweet.

Fruity Pie in Fig & Walnut and Apricot & Almond:  Like a big chunk of slightly more pliable fruit leather with nuts, these are made solely of fruit and nuts (and some sulphur in the case of the apricots).  There is no added sweetener, so don’t get too excited by the name “pie.”

Rich Chocolate Cookie Thins by Mandy’s:  Crisp and thin, these are packed in 90 calorie packs and have great cocoa flavor.  Two bags are included.

De Liege Wafel by Belgian Boys:  Slightly sweet, this chunk of wafel is solid in the Belgian style.  Good straight out of the bag or served with jam. [note from Brandy: my husband is actually pretty wild about these and I ordered extra from the LWF shop!]

I’ve had the Lundberg chips from a different subscription box. At first I thought I just got a old/expired package, but it sounds like that *is* supposed to be the texture.

I think the little notes are cute! I also LOVE that I get to see what the snacks look like!!!! I usually bring snack boxes with me in the car and well… they don’t often survive long enough to make it to pics. I have a craving for the french fry snack!!! When I was a kid I used to dip them in ketchup because I am kinda gross.
