July 2015 Scentbird Perfume Subscription Review & Coupon

Scentbird is a monthly perfume and fragrance decanting subscription. With Scentbird you get a thirty day supply of perfume every month. When you start with Scentbird you fill out a profile – including three of your favorite designer perfumes – then you make a wishlist of perfumes you’d like to try. You’ll get a new sprayer every month, plus a case to hold whatever perfume you’re currently using! You can add extra cases to an existing subscription for $12.95.

Scentbird just added fragrances from Comptoir Sud Pacifique, Juliette Has A Gun, and Montale Paris! (Three scents from each line). I went and added several to my queue!

The Brit girl embodies the playful British spirit of individuality. She’s outrageous, but always charming and unpredictably sexy. Fresh and playful, the fragrance is a classic, green-oriental blend of lush fruits, sweet nutty essences, and soothing amber, vanilla, and Tonka bean.

 Your first month will include a little perfume vial case and velvet holder. Scentbird decants the perfume from the manufacturer’s bottle to a little glass vial that fits in the sprayer. The perfumes are 100% authentic. A card comes with the vial demonstrating its use. You just twist it to spray!

Your vial comes with the card and is inside a box. My scent for July was Vera Wang Princess Night. Here’s the description:

Inspired by the city after midnight,Vera Wang Princess Night is chic and intoxicating. With hints of exotic and floral notes, this fragrance will leave you wanting more. (I love reading these, I’m terrible at describing perfumes). This one is the nocturnal version of Vera Wang Princess! This is sweet and lovely! I’ve never had occasion to buy a whole entire bottle of a variation scent, but this is a fantastic use for this subscription. It’s also a great way to try if you like a perfume before you buy a whole gorgeous bottle (I particularly love the bottle for this scent!)

ScentBird also provides a quick visual guide to the perfumes!  This is a lot of perfume and enough to apply twice daily for 30 days. No fancy bottle, but you get a lot to apply and don’t have to invest a lot in a new scent! Unfortunately this wasn’t a very high value for me – only about $3 of fragrance (it’s an Eau de Toilette I believe – it’s the only way this scent is available). Value wise that’s a tad disappointing – I probably should have just purchased the bottle and chosen a different scent, but I don’t tend to research the scents before I put them in the queue. All my other fragrances have been on par with the value, but this was really marked down.
