BoxyCharm is a makeup and beauty subscription box that sends out 4-5 deluxe and full size samples every month. They’re mostly full-size products (4 full size and one deluxe sample) and the boxes have been able to maintain a consistently high value.
The June theme was Sea la Vie:
Sea life’s beauty! Charmers, sail away with us as we take time to cast the open waters for adventure. Don’t get tidedown; let the sea set you free just as life should be! XOXO, Your Boxycharm Team
The information card supplies all the details on each item.
A mix of solid brands and some items that I’ve only seen the brands in a subscription box – ever.
Eslor’s Chlorophyll Lifting Mask ($38) Eslor is a great luxury skincare line. This is a rinse-off mask with plant and seaweed extracts and minerals designed to tighten, enhance blood circulation, and diminish fine lines.
Lighting Crew by The Beauty Crop ($18) [Just reviewed in May So Susan Bag review – see swatch there] A great highlighter with a champagne tint. It includes antioxidants derived from pineapples and green tea. FYI – this is smaller than a tube of lipstick, see photo above for size, although it is still a full size product – you need very little!
Doucce’s Click Click Lipstick ($24) This is cool because it closes by clicking, but it’s a terrible color, and I refuse to swatch it in case a friend might want it. It’s a nude orange peach and just no. The color is 819 “Sexy Copper.”
Bellapierre Cosmetics Official Kabuki Brush ($29.99) This is a cute but tiny brush, and I’d maybe spend $5 on it retail. I’ve never seen Bellapierre outside of a box.
Instead of the lipstick some received CARGO Cosmetics’s Eye Shadow Single or Oscar Blandi Hair Care Daily Silk Serum. Lucky Ducks.
NCLA Nail Lacquer Nudes in Volume IV ($16) This is a pinky sandy nude, and this is nude done right. I love this color!
The value of the June 2015 Boxycharm is $124, although it’s significantly overpriced. I love to see the Beauty Crop in here, and I am totally in love with my new nail polish. I’m generally happy with the mask & brush, but that lipstick is horrid! I really only look good in wine and berry lipsticks! There was also a non-unique code for malibeads.com (use code BOXYCHARM for $20 off $50) and if you’re interested in that, also check out the July Yogi Surprise spoiler!

I got that same shade of the lipstick and my first thought was…um, NO! But my daughter said to use it as a base color to even out my lips and wear it under a shimmery pink-gold or pink-nude gloss. She was right…It looked great which was awesome b/c the click-y packaging is really different from anything else I have. 🙂
that is an amazing idea. unfortunately i also look terrible in light pink lip colors. i have a medium neutral skin tone that borders on yellow undertones except i don’t look good in warm colors either. i will try it with a nude that i have open already. i made myself try a nude a few months ago and i get antsy using cosmetics i have no intention of using again. i would be really happy with a use for these!
I received the lippie in 818 a very red. I just can’t pull it off. Never bothered searching. It will get swapped r gifted also
I really wanted the Oscar Blandi serum but I’m happy with my Cargo eyeshadow, it’s such a pretty light pink. I’m glad I didn’t get the lipstick, I just got a Doucce lipstick in my Glossybox last month. I think the Kabuki brush is overpriced as well. It’s nice but I would not pay $30 for it! I also got a Doucce kabuki brush in my Glossybox this month too! I also in love the nail polish too, it’s so pretty! Even though I definitely don’t need it, lol.
Haha – I hear you – that lippie would totally make me look like the undead! I bet it would work for a pale, blonde person though 🙂
I dig purple but not so much light colors. But I have a lot of pink in my face. The nail polish is cute! I wonder what I’ll get! Thanks for your review!!!!
I love the lippy!! So funny that someone trash always end up being someone’s treasure!! I have your reaction towards that nude when I see any purple tint in a lippy!! Hmmm, nope
it’s all skintone! that purple UD lipgloss that was in ipsy the other month – i totally bought the full size! it looks amahzing!
