Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. Your stylist will send you 5 pieces based on your profile for you to try on and home and hopefully fall in love with. There aren’t any coupons for Stitch Fix but if you hit the jackpot and keep everything, you save 25% on your whole fix (read below for details). Here’s my second February Stitch Fix box.

I actually got this fix last month but haven’t posted it yet. I changed my profile to reflect my actual job, and unfortunately they seem completely fixated on sending me terrible clothes that I would never wear (hint, I didn’t love it – but they did refund my styling fee!).

I have no idea why they thought these items would fit in my current wardrobe. Also I would never wear booties. Not my style.

Here’s how Stitch Fix works: fill out your style profile! This includes style, budget, what you’re looking for, and you can get as detailed as you want with the notes to your stylist. It really really does help to provide notes to what you’re seeking, and a Pinterest board if you have one! You will be charged a $20 styling fee and shipped five items to try on at home. If you keep anything your styling fee will be applied to your order, but if you don’t, you will pay the $20 fee. This is so worth it. If you keep everything you get a 25% discount, so it pays off to be specific. You will check out and get charged through your Stitch Fix account.

Daniel Rainn Ishara Lace Detail V-Neck Blouse ($68) I cannot stand this color. Plus this is open WAY too far, it’s see-through (my profile says never ever send), and it’s 0 degrees right now. When would I wear this?IMG_8748

41 Hawthorn Filbert 3/4 Sleeve Popover Blouse ($58) This is another bag slit down to my navel. IMG_8749

Daniel Rainn Aretha Abstract Print Dress ($108) The perfect snow shoveling outfit? I’m not sure.IMG_8750

41Hawthorn Gideon Polka Dot Sweater ($68) Sort of cute (except for the cut), but not $68 cute.

Kensie Rebekah Contrast Detail Blazer ($88) I work in a profession (which is indicated on my profile) where everyone already owns 10-20 impeccably tailored suits (as I do). There would be no reason to send me a blazer. This is somewhat shapeless though I liked the contrast. I fortunately don’t need to wear suits basically ever. They’re just in my closet.

Cute detail but utterly inappropriate for just about anything a 36 year old mom of 3 in central PA would do in February.

Returned the entire thing without blinking. They refunded my styling fee based on my feedback.
