Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. Your stylist will send you 5 pieces based on your profile for you to try on and home and hopefully fall in love with. There aren’t any coupons for Stitch Fix but if you hit the jackpot and keep everything, you save 25% on your whole fix (read below for details). Here’s my first February Stitch Fix box.
I changed my profile to reflect my actual job, and unfortunately they seem completely fixated on sending me clothes that I would never wear. I kept two pieces from this fix, so it was at least an improvement. I need to update my profile to other. Any suggestions?
Here’s how Stitch Fix works: fill out your style profile! This includes style, budget, what you’re looking for, and you can get as detailed as you want with the notes to your stylist. It really really does help to provide notes to what you’re seeking, and a Pinterest board if you have one! You will be charged a $20 styling fee and shipped five items to try on at home. If you keep anything your styling fee will be applied to your order, but if you don’t, you will pay the $20 fee. This is so worth it. If you keep everything you get a 25% discount, so it pays off to be specific. You will check out and get charged through your Stitch Fix account.
Pixley Ivy Mini Tulip Print Blouse ($68) I pinned a similar blouse because it had a critter print, along with 50 other critter prints. Stitch Fix didn’t really get the hint and sent me yet another baggy shirt open to my bra. This is just not my style and I’m short, yet round, so it’s just altogether unflattering. Plus, you know, boobs. I hear that an extraordinarily similar shirt (same fabric) is in the February Golden Tote. If I get it in my Tote I will have to question my reality.
Olive & Oak Woolsey V-Neck Sweater ($54) There’s really nothing I find attractive about this. It’s navy, it’s boxy. I like the v-neck and the fact that it’s a sweater. However, I want shape in my garments!
Octavia Darlene Knit Infinity Scarf ($34) I was delighted to receive it. It’s adorable, plus it was on my pinterest board. I was just thinking today I needed another cozy scarf.
Market & Spruce Chaimbers Cowl Neck Knit Top ($48) This is mildly boring, but I love it. I love the cowl style on me, the 3/4 sleeves, and I particularly like the space knit fabric. This is a great staple item.
41Hawthorn Jayn Textured Dress ($78) I really sort of hate the architectural style. This doesn’t match my body type and I don’t know why this dress would ever have pockets. I’m sure it looks great on someone, but not me.
I wasn’t quite as let down as I was with my first February Stitch Fix – this was about 2 notches above that hot mess – but liking 2 items (one being an accessory) wasn’t really enough for me. I’m hoping for better luck next time (plus, a fix that ships on time – this one was supposed to be here last week). One of the things I’m sad about is being able to share my tips for getting a great fix, but they’re just not working anymore. I asked for a new stylist, and got sent back to a previous one (sorry ladies, you’re just not working for me). I really would like them to assign me a whole new stylist.

oh my. I’ve not tried them yet but you always seem to have cute clothes until now. Maybe take some time and really fully update your pinterest? Get some very specifics like I HATED everything in and about my Jan box so NEVER send me anything that is remotely like that. LOL maybe they would get it then.
