Five Four Club is a men’s clothing monthly subscription club – sign up, pick a style profile and your sizes, and get clothes every month. T’s style profile is “casual.” This subscription ships at the end of the month. The subscription is a $60 flat monthly fee, and traditionally subscribers receive a variable number of items each month, depending on the value of the month’s selections (months with several items usually include a tee shirt or other lower value item).
T, age 17, had a hard time waiting to see what came this month. He loved the April selection.
T was excited to see that it was another three item month! His first concern was whether the dress shirt was short sleeves or long sleeves.
PA Anna: The Bishop Black Button Down Shirt is indeed short sleeve. The 100% cotton causal dress shirt is soft. It does not have a pocket. It came with two replacement buttons. It’s a lightweight shirt that is perfect for T when he wants to dress up for a date or to wear to church.
T: The shirt is super comfy. It’s a little too big for me.
PA Anna: It looked fine when he is not tugging on it. He prefers athletic or slim fit when it comes to dress shirts.
T: I run a lot and work out. I don’t want to look fat on my dates.
PA Anna: He’s part of the social media generation. Got to look perfect at all times.
PA Anna: The Acer Navy Belt is a solid belt that stretches. I loved the belt and wanted to keep it for myself. The belt is 100% polyester.
T: I love this belt.
T: It matches the shorts and looks great. I like having items that go together. I still don’t like how the shirt looks big on me.
PA Anna: I noticed the swan float in the picture.
T: I hope my shorts fit!
PA Anna: The Balsam Navy Shorts have front and back pockets. The material is 53% linen, 45% cotton, and 2% spandex making them comfortable. They are not stiff and are lightweight.
T: I love the shorts. They are comfortable. My phone fits in the pockets. They look great with the belt.
T preferred the unbutton look and matched it with the FiveFour T-shirt from April. He was telling me how it’s important to look like you are not trying too hard and yet look stylish at the same time.
He likes the length of the shorts.
This combination is his favorite. It is the belt and shorts from the May box along with the t-shirt from the April box. He feels it gives him a sophisticated, polish look without looking “old.” The cut and fit is what he is looking for in clothes.
T loved the belt and shorts from the May Five Four Club package. He is unsure about the dress shirt. I have a feeling that he will be wearing it unbuttoned once he finds a better shirt that matches it. I wanted to share more of his perspective and hope he did not come across as being obnoxious.
Five Four Club is a great subscription for older teenage boys that want to be on trend. T enjoys shopping for clothes yet feels overwhelmed because he is not sure what is the best look. He’s at that stage where he is transitioning to being a young adult and wants to create that feel in his wardrobe without being stuffy or boring. He feels that Five Four is on target for what he wants in clothes. He loves how his wardrobe is coming together with outfits that match. It’s a great subscription for teenage boys and men who want to expand their wardrobe.
