Kawaii Box is a super cute monthly subscription box of Kawaii goodies! Every month you’ll get 10-12 cuteness overload Kawaii items from Japan and Korea! If you are unfamiliar with kawaii culture in Japan (basically cuteness) check out the Wikipedia article. Japan Candy Box is the sister subscription of Kawaii Box, and they’re giving one away to a reader at the end of this post! It’s also an awesome box!
This takes a couple weeks to arrive, but it’s packed full of stuff!
The information card lists all the items in the box! No information – just the names of the items, which is helpful.
Everything in the August Kawaii Box!
Squishy Popsicle Charm: My niece absolutely adores all of the kawaii cell phone charms and she will love this one – it has sprinkles!
Alpaca Zipper Case: What does one store in an alpaca case? The beautiful things of course!
Baby Dinosaur Pencil Tin
Ice Cream Sandwich Pen
Both cute and fun stationery items, which you really can’t ever have enough of. I liked getting the organizing tin and the compactness of the case. The card says the pen is a macaron, but mine looks more like an ice cream sandwich, so I’m going with that. I can’t wait to use it in a meeting!
Mini Animal Spray Bottle: We’ll likely use this for water for a terrarium! It’s so lovely that it’s fit to set out. I rarely see a cute spray bottle!
Polka Dot Shoelaces! For some reason I find the puffy shoelaces completely entrancing. I’m going to send these to my best friend and make her wear them on her chucks. You’d think we were still 18, but no, double that! Or I might add them to my purple New Balances??
Washi Tape! Hooray – we’re running low, which is absolutely insane, but my kids are tape fiends. All children are. This is a pretty heart pattern.
Puffy Paradise Stickers: Aloha, would you like a bear shaped cheeseburger with the Hawaiian Flag? Which I am HIGHLY EMBARRASSED to find out that I didn’t know the Hawaiian flag at all! I feel less mortified because my husband didn’t know it either.
Cloud Memory Envelope Set. No cards, just the outers! Photo below! Everyone needs emotion cloud memories.
Kawaii Neko Plush Keychain: She’s so sweet!
I thought the little back paws were such a cute detail! My daughter whisked this away immediately!
I’m not sure I get these envelopes, but they’re sort of silly and fun. At least half of them anyways. And the other ones are cute even if they’re the less cheery emotions, which seem somewhat easier to express with a cloud.
Kracie NaruNaru Gumi NoMi DIY Candy Kit – Soda: Yaaay this one makes a tree! Amazingly it has no artificial colors.
You build the tree, and dip it into some liquid stuff, then into some powder stuff, and then the buds grow, and then you decorate it with sprinkles! This kind of DIY kit is always in Japan Candy Box along with lots of other goodies.
This is going to be so fun! My daughter was a little frustrated that she couldn’t read the instructions herself (because they’re in Japanese), but that’s because she’s 6 and obsessed with reading instructions. We’re going to do this kit after dinner tomorrow!
What great fun this box is – and inexpensive too. It’s less than $2 per item, and if you consider that the candy kits are typically $4-5, it’s more like $1.50 per item, and that’s just cheap! For me this is the perfect thing to have around for birthday parties or girls gifts in general – and a wide range of ages. And if you’re an adult that needs some extra Kawaii in your life, why not?! I love all the whimsical items too!
Visit Kawaii Box to subscribe or find out more! They also run the Japan Candy Box subscription (equally adorable, but sweeter). And they’re giving one away to a reader – enter below! As always, Japan Candy Box giveaway is open worldwide! (And you may need to come back in order to enter, I’m not entirely sure when it starts!).

This Kawaii box is always so much fun. I received it for about a year and was always happy with the contents. 🙂
