Vibe & Glo Candle Studio Sunflowers + Citrus Candle ($40) The candle scent I received is called Sunflowers + Citrus and has notes of mandarin orange, sunflowers, and suede, so if you’re thinking warm and bright, then you’d be right! Have you ever smelled a fresh magnolia blossom, with that hint of lemon and something else? That’s what I’m getting when I sniff this candle cold. I didn’t notice much scent throw while it was burning, and mainly smelled it after I blew out the flame. I burned it three nights in a row and only the second night had much noticeable scent, at least to my nose. While citrus was the main note, it also had a hint of warm florals, and it was perfect for hot summer evenings, without smelling strong or heavy — it was light as a summer breeze (cue Seals & Croft, which I believe was on last month’s Spotify playlist).
The bonus item for July is a Pocket Notebook ($10 from Vellabox). True to its name, it’s small enough to fit in a pocket, and measures 4″ x 3″. The booklet is covered in striped fabric and the pages inside are lined.
