Everything in this box!
It’s a handle you can attach to the box.

The design of the box is attractive and truthful to the theme of Mission Serengeti!

Mission Serengeti Stickers. The stickers are filtered versions of the real photos of animals from Natgeo Magazine. They are designed like postage stamps.

Animal Cards. These remind me of playing cards during the 90s. I love how National Geographic finds a way for the kids not be bored with facts.

It is an effective way to show statistics of the animals and make it more interesting while keeping it informative (just like the NBA cards of basketball players).

Serengeti Zebra T-Shirt. The zebra shirt has a great color! The fabric is of high quality and comfortable, perfect for active kids.

Even in the t-shirt, NatGeo did not miss this chance to spread animal fact tidbits.

Mission Serengeti Activity Booklet. This is an additional booklet that has activities, comics, and more illustrations with information about Serengeti.

There is a mission checklist that the kids are supposed to accomplish. After all the fun activities from the booklet, it is encouraged that the kids go online to access the Mission center and unleash more surprises there.

NatGeo comics is filled with a combination of fun illustrations and real animal photos.

My son is wearing the zebra shirt while working on the activities.

The booklet has a diverse selection of puzzles and even encourages the kids to draw.

Lots of activities to keep kids busy!

There are comprehensive exercises like this puzzle. I also enjoy crossword puzzles, so it’s nice to see my son do one too!

This is NatGeo’s Certificate of Achievement.

A National Geographic Book: All About Lions And How To Save Them. It’s very fitting that NatGeo is sticking to their guns and what they are good at which is wildlife pictures and advocacy. That’s what sets them apart from other activity books and magazines.

It doesn’t matter where you look. This is the back cover of NatGeo magazine and it is just as eye-catching! They never fail to be straight to the point and get the message across.

The heart of the theme and the whole mission of this magazine is to spread awareness that even though lions are fierce creatures, they need our help to save their species. What better way to get the message across than to start with kids!

They aim to pull our heartstrings with beautiful pictures of animals and wildlife. It will inspire us to respect and be better at coexisting in this world. And that like us, animals have families too.

They deserve a place where they can live without the fear of being hunted.

It is in their nature to be fierce and to be predatory but they are also becoming less by the number.

There is also a page of information about how humans showed their respect for lions in ancient times and saw the creatures as magical and powerful beings, heroes even.

My son will be able to learn about animals and the importance of protecting them. It is also interesting for him to see a lot of trivia about the animals of the jungle.

I like this feature about a child from Kenya because it widens my kid’s perspective and know that there are a lot of experiences outside the comforts of our home. It will give him exposure even though he didn’t leave the house.

He is very immersed in his book!
After acquiring knowledge from the box, deservingly I congratulated my son and gave a certificate to my junior explorer for a great Serengeti experience.
Instructions and access to an online digital game that features the Serengeti
We went to www.pley.com/national-geographic and logged in to our account to access the Mission Center.
This is exciting! The game lets the kids choose the character they want to play with.
There are various avatars to choose from!
After picking an avatar, it’s now time to access Mission Serengeti!
In the menu, we can choose to play mission games, or we can resume the mission if it was paused and we can also choose to start a new one instead.
There are many mission games namely: Cape Hare Catch, What’s The Animal, Food Chain, Block Unblock, and The Jeep Trail. He will never get bored because there are so many choices.
The Jeep Trail. This game is fun! The player just has to complete the picture by choosing the parts scattered in the jungle. It is timed and you have to match everything before the time runs out!

We also tried out other games. It is easy to catch up on some of the rules of the game because they are already reminiscent of other popular ones.

Block Unblock. The player has to move the zebras out of the way before the time runs out. There are also available hints for this puzzle so kids won’t panic.
What’s the Animal. Basically, it’s like the hangman but with a Serengeti twist! These are just three out of the Serengeti selection. So I’m sure he will not get tired of it easily.
The program really wants to make the kids fully aware and get to know the animals of Serengeti better.
For every mission, you have to pack things wisely! This is a what-you-need vs what-you-might-need kind of problem.
They show the signature NatGeo real wildlife photos not just in activity books but also in interactive computer programs.
They even branched out on a campaign game that has different adventures and levels in a form of a story.
It is a good idea to use the game to involve and engage kids in the cause because it addresses real-life issues and how to help the lions.
They welcome us with this message. This is exciting! This is where the real adventure awaits!
This box has got it all. National Geographic has always been an advocate of wildlife. They have always been promoting, spreading awareness, and getting people involved to save mother nature. It is a good idea to start their advocacy with the kids. It will make them grow into well-rounded people. My son truly enjoyed everything in this box. NatGeo had gone an extra mile and extended the fun with interactive games on the computer. It is a well put together box and I’m so happy we get a chance to experience it. I’m excited about what NatGeo has in store for us next!
