May 2015 SprezzaBox Review + Coupon – Mens’ Accessories Subscription

I like SprezzaBox’s styling – modern but classic enough to wear to an interview.  SprezzaBox is a men’s accessories subscription. Every month you’ll receive several high quality accessories and a grooming item, all for $28 per month.  Items are chosen on the basis of the season and current trends – it’s a curated mix of accessories that ensure you will always look dapper.

This box is the Mercer Box.  We didn’t know what that meant so SprezzaBox filled us in: they are calling boxes by a name that represents NYC instead of the month.

Basic information card with details of all the items.  A pretty good haul for a $28 box.  I’ve never seen a tie retail for much less than $20 outside of scary-ugly clearance, so the price estimates look legit.

Everything in the May SprezzaBox.   I like that SprezzaBox focuses on the accessories and doesn’t go heavy on the grooming items.  It makes it feel like a wardrobe investment.

Weekend Casual Necktie ($20) Great pop of yellow in traditional colors in this linen chambray tie. Perfect for looking dressed in summer.  Classic pattern, splash of color, and unexpected texture.  This tie will not make me look as cool as that dude, but then again, at least I don’t have my hand up my butt.

Unsimply Stitched Socks ($12)  I really like the socks.  They actually fit my feet (lots of manufacturers think the heel pad should go mid-calf for some reason), and I love that SprezzaBox selected socks that go with this month’s tie!  Its awesome to get what is essentially an outfit (just add, you know, the actual clothes) in a single box.

Winners Circle Fashion Co. Pocket Square ($12) The Falabella Square ditsy floral pattern brought the genteel south to my pocket square. I wore this yesterday with a blazer.  Kinda a cool idea, adding some flair to the pocket square.  Let’s face it, if you are wearing a pocket square, you are already going beyond the call of duty, so you might as well make it memorable.

eShave White Tea Shaving Cream (sample)  White tea is trendy.  Again, I like that I’m given new samples to try, but they are a small portion of the box.

Stock & Barrel Co Leather Key Chain ($10)  Nice little functional add-on.  You are always leaving a key with the neighbors, etc., and this number will do nicely, or allow for a slimmed-down pocket for a night out or a jog.

May’s box had a value of about $54, which is pretty excellent. I found all the accessories to be wearable and usable.  I especially enjoy that an effort was made to create a set of accessories that could be worn together, rather than getting a random bunch of stuff to try to work into my wardrobe.
