The July 2024 Cloth & Paper theme was Bibliophile Box 3.0 as a nod to our childhood summer days spent reading and going to the library. There was a leather book sleeve, a vellum notepad, and more. When you start your subscription to Cloth & Paper you will indicate which size planner you own (there are 11 options to choose from) and you can expect 7-9 unique planning and stationery items each month along with two writing instruments.

PLEASE NOTE: Cloth & Paper recently changed to one box option a month. It’s no longer called the Planning + Stationery Box (and there’s no longer a Penspiration add-on) – from here on out, it is called the Intention Box.

There’s always a card that shows a picture of each item and that gives some info on those items on the reverse.

Luxe Book Sleeve According to the unboxing video on the Cloth & Paper YouTube channel, this book sleeve is made of nubuck leather. From what I can tell it is supposed to be used to carry your stationery essentials as opposed to actually covering a book. Stash you notes, pens, etc. to keep them safe and contained as you carry them to, say, the library.

Purpose of Art Dashboard Several of the items in this month’s box feature quotes from the author James Baldwin. This dashboard, which is made of cardstock and that has metallic silver on two key words, is an easy way to update the front of your planner, especially if you have a clear cover.

Bibliophile Second Edition Insert would go right behind the dashboard in your planner. There is one page marked “To Be Read”, and the rest of the pages are a reading log. The back has a sample of both pages filled in.

Left Bound Annotation Notepad is so interesting because the pages inside are vellum! The video showed one being placed on a page in a book, and then the words could be seen underneath and you can highlight the words through the vellum sheet and then keep the paper in place with a clip or sticky note so you can return to your highlighted passages.

Library Page Flags come in a color palette inspired by a fancy library. Use these flags to note a place in a book or planner that you want to revisit. I use them to mark recipes I want to try from cookbooks!

Leather Bookmark is described as being made of vegan leather. You can use it to mark your place in a book or in your planner.

Here it is in use!

Read Sticky Notes look like they were taken out of a library book from sometime in the past. You can use them to note your progress while reading on the go.

Our Monthly Reflection Card is quite literal – the card has a finish that acts like a mirror! I also received a September Pop-Up Calendar with raised numbers that is easy to fold into place. Finally, there is a Library Journaling Card with a quote from James Baldwin on the front.

Our Pen Set for the month came with a .5mm black drawing pen from Uni Pin that is water- and fade-proof. The Mildliner Mix from Zebra is so cool – it has two different colors in one tip for an awesome effect.

The July Bibliophile Box 3.0 from Cloth & Paper was perfect for those who have a love of reading and who especially like to explore what they’ve read and note what they wish to read next. This year Cloth & Paper has introduced several new bags for holding our collections and the leather Luxe Book Sleeve was fitting for the theme, yet it’s not limited to housing a book. I also liked the vellum note pad, what a unique take on a standard item. Cloth & Paper shows us different ways to not only update our planners each month, but to look inside ourselves from time to time. I can’t wait to see what comes next month!

Cloth & Paper offers a monthly subscription box of their planner supplies, inserts, and writing instruments. The items look sleek and Cloth & Paper believes “there is luxury in simplicity”. Our readers love this subscription – Cloth & Paper was voted as the top pick for the best stationery subscription this year!
