BOXYCHARM is a makeup and beauty subscription box that sends out 4-5 deluxe and full size samples every month. In the past the items have been mostly full-size products and the boxes have been able to maintain an amazingly high value.

TIP: BOXYCHARM is usually available through the end of the month. However their subscription is currently subject to a waitlist – I recommend signing up ASAP if you think you want the next box.

The May theme was “Makeup Is Art.

”

All the item info is on the back of the card.

Everything in my May BOXYCHARM!

Crown Paddle Large Round Buffer ($24.99) This brush includes a cap cover to keep your bristles protected and your foundation from getting everywhere before you have a chance to clean your brush!

This brush is made for liquid or cream products, so it’s a perfect pair with the bronzer/highlighter in this box!

There’s loads of synthetic bristles and it’s a quality brush that’s perfect for buffing in cream and powder products for a perfect finish.

TEMPTU x BoxyCharm Liquid Glow Hand Applied Highlighter ($29.50) This “liquid glow” highlighter has a beautiful rosy coppery glow. The color is shimmery but super subtle and you can use it as a straight up highlighter on face, all over your body for a gorgeous sheen, or as a foundation mix-in.

I swatched it really heavily but good news, it blends in beautifully. Bad news? It’s a little runny and my 2 year old dumped the entire bottle on the carpet (sobs). It just all poured right out!

IBY Powder Highlight & Contour Palette ($40) This month subscribers received this palette or the Beauty Creations Contour Cream Palette.

Easy to follow contouring guide. I suggest also YouTube.

There are 6 different pressed powder shades – 3 highlighters and 3 contour shades.

Despite being a pressed powder, these shades are creamy and blend really well – just what you want in contour powder!

Highlighters on top, contours on bottom.

The BrowGal by Tonya Crooks The Convertible Brow Trio ($35)

A versatile brow powder system to fill in and shape brows.

Use dry for a subtle finished look, use wet for a pomade. Each compact has a warm, neutral, and ash tone to allow you to mix your absolutely perfect color every time. You can get a 3D look by using both wet and dry. This is a really substantial brow palette and should last a really long time, even if you only used one color. I received a different shade than my Spring 2017 BeautyCon box, which I was happy with. Now I have a whole brow wardrobe!

Here’s the swatches of the three brow shades.

The BrowGal Brow Brush with Spoolie & Angled Brush ($14) To go with the brow powder – love when they include an item to complete the set! (FYI – I did some digging, there has been back and forth whether or not this is sold with the duo, it’s not, even though some of the stock pictures show it, third party sites clearly state the brush is sold separately).

What a great monthly box for makeup addicts! My BOXYCHARM had about $143.50 in products and this month was really all about light and color. Lots of opportunities to create drama with your look or keep it neutral. If I had to criticize this month at all, I would say that the card is so colorful it would lead you to expect lots of big beautiful color. Hoping for more of that in my next box, but I can’t ever complain about 5 high quality beauty products for $21 a month! Would I pay $4.20 for each of these items? The answer is absolutely. Just take my money BOXYCHARM.

Buying this subscription was the worst decision I have made in a while. I waited 2 weeks after the shipping dates for the boxes to be sent only to try and track my package to see that it was being returned to sender for incorrect address. So I went to my account online.. which is a hassle within itself.. to see that my address was correct. So i cancel my subscription which was pretty easy and email the company (they only commmunicate by email which sucks) requesting a refund because I never received any merchandise and they tell me that I cannot refund but I could give an address to send the box?? Seriously!! I already gave you the address. You had your chance. It’s been over 2 months and I just want my 21 dollars back…. seriously people don’t waste your money on this. Plus this products are cheap. I looked it up and the things in the box was under 6 dollars. This is bad business boxycharm.
