The Gentleman’s Box is a monthly men’s subscription box providing the required essentials for the savvy man. Boxes contain specially-selected items that range from accessories to grooming. When you subscribe, you also receive a year-long subscription to GQ magazine, which is delivered separately through the mail.
Each box also includes a copy of The Gentleman’s Post, a well-designed booklet describing the products in the box and offering styling suggestions for each one.
The exact contents remain a mystery, tucked neatly beneath white butcher paper.

The Gentlemen’s Post walks through everything in the box, and more. There is a handy table of contents that gives a quick list of the contents and the total retail value. The last several issues have introduced new members to the Gentleman’s Box team.
Each month is dedicated to someone who has had a significant influence on culture or fashion. This month’s collection is to our favorite Adored Activist.
They always give you an inspiration page showing all the items in the box and how to wear them.
A page is dedicated to each item — they include the usual picture and blurb, but they also include a handy section denoting the level of attire (e.g. formal, business, biz-cas, casual) for which the item is appropriate, as well as colors that best complement it. The how-to-wear-it aspects of the Post go a long way in making all the accessories useful to any subscriber.

They categorize items and features into Look Good, Feel Good, and Be Good sections, highlighting fashion, health and grooming, and charitable endeavors, respectively.
In this issue they’ve included a page dedicated for the Do’s and Don’ts of Dating.
This month’s charity is Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund.

All the items are neatly packed, wrapped in white paper and sealed with a black and gold sticker with the Gentleman’s box logo.

Percentage Sign Leather Journal ($20) Easily one of my favorites from this month’s box, this pocket journal is a great place to capture thoughts and ideas. It is bound using genuine leather, with a tan stitching around the edges. It also features Percentage Sign’s logo on the cover.
The pages are lined. It’s small enough to be brought anywhere for emergency note taking. It can even fit in the inside pocket of a jacket.
Percentage Sign Ballpoint Pen ($10) To pair with my new leather journal, they also included a classic black ballpoint pen…
…but this pen is not limited to journal writing! It also serves as a capacitive touchscreen stylus, and it’s compatible with all touchscreen devices.
Travelling Gentleman’s Boutique Pocket Square ($29) This light grey pocket square features a glen check pattern.
It will go well with a black or blue coat.
The items in the box can be worn individually or all together.
Mind Socks Socks ($12) This pair of blue dress socks with pink dots and accents is a great way to add fun to an ordinary outfit. It’s perfect if you want to make a statement without going over the top.
It’s really soft and comfortable to wear. You can wear them for a formal occasion or on a casual day. Either way, these socks will surely stand out! Another great thing about Mind Socks is that they support mental health initiatives.
Tie Doctors Tie ($19) The tie features a shepherd’s check pattern in blue and pink. It’s quite versatile and can be worn with blue, pink, white, grey, or black dress shirts.
Who’d have thought that blue and pink will go well together on a tie? By the way, Tie Doctors donates a part of what they get to Doctors Without Borders, an organization that provides emergency medical care to those who may not have access to it.
Detroit Grooming Co. Cherry Lip Balm ($2) This lip balm is made with natural beeswax, great for keeping the lips smooth and moisturized.
I received it in cherry flavor and it smells wonderful!
It’s another impressive curation from Gentleman’s Box! As usual, the staples (tie, pocket square, and socks) are high quality and well coordinated. I also liked the addition of the leather bound journal and 2-in-1 pen, because they will be quite useful no matter what age a gentleman is. The pink and blue adds a touch of love to any dresswear for the month of love!
