Tonttu Box is a monthly subscription that delivers between five and seven gifts to your home for parent and child to enjoy. Selections may include unique handmade finds, children’s books, educational toys, treats and spa products, all designed to spoil both parent and child! Tonttu Box supports small, local artisans whenever possible and loves to give back! If members so desire, they can fill their empty Tonttu box with baby products they’re not going to use (not Tonttu Box products, of course, as they’ll be used!) and send the box back to Tonttu Box, which will in turn send the box to children in need.
Each shipment arrives well-packaged, encased in neatly-folded tissue paper.
The tissue paper arrives fastened together with a beautiful sticker.
The theme for August was Pick-Me-Up Times! This box is all about fun and and those special things that make us feel great!
This month’s shipment included an amigurumi bunny, lip balm, lip scrub, earrings and food pouches.
The theme was displayed prominently on the enclosed piece of paper along with a coupon code to receive your first Tonttu Box for only $5!
The paper also included a list of the contents of the box and their values as well as coupon codes for additional individual orders. Awesome!
The people behind Tonttu Box clearly know what parenting a young child is all about. They also know that new parents need an occasional pick me up. I can’t wait to peruse mine!
This adorable knit bunny ($20) was produced by Lana Voloshenko for Tonttu box exclusively! I love it! My daughter loves it too. As soon as she saw it, she said “I wan dat!” and ran off with it.
Tulips Apothecary’s Limoncello Lip Scrub ($10) is made with sugar, sweet almond oil and lemon essential oil. The sugar provides gentle exfoliation as the sweet almond oil softens the lips. After following up the lip scrub with the Limoncello Lip Balm, my lips felt great!
The Limoncello Lip Balm by Tulips Apothecary ($8) is made from mango butter, shea butter, beeswax, caster oil and essential oils. It went on smoothly and left my lips feeling hydrated. Lemongrass essential oil lends the lip balm a lovely, light lemon scent.
I think this pair of Druzy earrings from Dream Owl Druzy ($5) are stunning! I don’t understand how they’re only valued at $5. Clearly I need to get more of these for Christmas gifts! I love that they’re compact studs–a perfect choice for mothers with young children.
I think these reusable pouches from Wee Sprouts ($5.67 based on the cost of 6) are a great addition! I wish these had been around when my oldest was little. With two little ones running around, though, I just don’t have time to make my own purees any longer. Luckily, my sister in law is expecting, so I’ll send these to her. She’ll love them!
I thought my third Tonttu Box was fabulous! Each of the products was useful, unique and produced in limited quantities. As a whole, this box felt indulgent and fun all at the same time! I can’t wait to see what they send out next month!
