The May 2023 Vellabox is here and they sent one of four different candle scents from their own line of candles! I received the fragrance for those who like their candles sweet and spicy. I also received a trinket tray for the bonus item! I am reviewing The Vivere Box, which comes with a 16 ounce candle and is $38 a month.

Vellabox Candle in Nostalgic ($38) This month the featured candle maker is…Vellabox! The scent “Nostalgic” falls in their gourmand & spice category and is made of soy wax. This candle size is supposed to burn for around 80 hours — you could possibly burn this for 3 hours a night and it might last almost the whole month long (I haven’t tested it out myself to see if it will last that long, but if you do, let me know how it turns out!). Nostalgic has notes of white honey, amber, and vanilla and the scent throw was pretty decent while burning, I could smell it throughout my living room. It’s supposed to provide a cozy & comforting atmosphere and I think it smells like cupcakes and a fire burning in the fireplace, and cuddling up on the couch with a soft blanket, and I like it!
Wood Trinket Tray ($14) The bonus item this month is a small wooden tray that’s suitable for holding a few rings or a necklace, or maybe a couple of coins. It’s about 2.5″ across. I’m not sure what kind of wood it’s made of but it’s very lightweight. It has a flower etched onto the surface.
I was exceedingly pleased with my Nostalgic candle from Vellabox and, well, Vellabox! They did a good job and I liked the scent and its throw, I could smell it while it was burning. Of course, Vellabox knows candles so I expected nothing less than the best from their own line. The trinket tray was a cute extra, I like accessories that are simple and natural. This is a big candle, the biggest Vellabox has to offer, but they have two other smaller candle sizes to choose from, and I think it’s great that you can choose the types of candle scents that you like.
