Loot Crate‘s theme for March was VERSUS. Loot Crate is the original subscription box for geeks & gamers. Every month you’ll get awesome geeky items curated around a central theme. One of the things I love about this box is that it’s only $20 per month – a super affordable geeky fix with a subscriber base so gigantic that every box is full of really awesome geeky items – many of which are exclusive to this subscription (and not just oh, it will be released later – actual exclusive items you’ll only get in this box!). Every Loot Crate box in 2016 will have a shirt!
I see more AVP than just that box!
All the items in the March box!
Every Loot Crate box comes with the mini mag! This was the BEST one they’ve ever done – it was totally packed full of really fun extras. I didn’t even take any photos of the item information, because there were so many other things to show (and I didn’t even take a photo of everything!).
There were multiple different articles this month.
What’s in Harley’s Purse was my favorite content!
Until I got to Spot the Spock!
This was just a really fun experience. Loot Crate is pulling out all the stops these days!
The Exclusive Loot Pin unlocks bonus digital content. This month you could pick up a freebie rental on Vudu for Aliens or Predators.
There was a gold chase variant of the Versus pin, too.
If you didn’t realize it, you can turn the box inside out. I normally don’t but it was a nice backdrop for one of the items this month!
Batman v Superman Mighty Wallet: This is one of those indestructible Tyvek wallets. They do get worn after a while but they hold up nicely and my husband loves them.
Bat logo bursting from Superman and Superman logo bursting from Batman.
The inside has little pockets for your cards (and coupons and other inserts, there were 4 of them, which was kind of a lot!).
And it has two regular bill pockets.
Mirror, Mirror Shirt: I was excited about this shirt as soon as I heard about it – who doesn’t love Spock v. Spock? Even Evil Spock with retro goatee! I don’t love the color of the shirt (which is basically the same color as a sweaty undershirt) but the quality is great – I’ll wear it with a cardigan 🙂 The design was created by Juan Ortiz – who has also done a book of retro-style posters for every episode of the original Star Trek!
Daredevil/Punisher Reversible Beanie: The DareDevil design goes great with my husband’s new Daredevil shirt, but I suspect he’ll rock Punisher most often (we have an agreement – I take beanies with pom-poms, he gets the pomless beanies).
The beanie is totally reversible and really soft! Surprisingly so. We loved this item!
Alien v Predator Titan 4.5″ Vinyl Figure: Surprise, you get either Alien or Predator!
We got Alien. He’s invading Predator’s jungle here. I was psyched about Alien because he matched my Ripley (and let’s face it – the Titan figures are kind of odd so it’s good that it matched!)
Alien guards the babies. He’s a leet kind of alien.
Harley Quinn #1 DC Comics One Shot: This is a new comic created totally exclusively for Loot Crate – that’s really awesome and I’ll have to indulge in some HQ love and read the entire thing.
There was also a promo for a new Loot Crate Game – Word Gush. Next month Looters will be able to unlock free exclusive bonus categories.
Right now the app is free and there are four 99¢ categories available to buy in-app. Thanks for taking more of my money Loot Crate. Speaking of which, Loot Gaming is sold out, but Loot Crate just dropped Loot Crate DX if you’re interested in a premium version of the box – which will match the April theme. Speaking of which, I’m still waiting for April Loot Crate spoilers, but you’ll be able to find them here when they’re released!
This was a fun box but kind of “busy” with all the different franchises going on and less attention on Batman v. Superman than I expected. Our favorite items this month are the wearables but there was something for everyone!
