Borough Home Candle in Daybreak ($30 for an 8 ounce candle) I’m always so excited to receive my monthly Vellabox, I get to know a new candle brand every month! This month’s candle features notes of green leaves, bay, and cedar and is supposed to smell like “fresh morning air, zesty and clean”. It leans a bit on the masculine side, and reminds me of a clean soapy or aftershave scent, bright and yet deep at the same time. I found this candle to be very polite, it smelled good in the immediate area where it was burned but didn’t carry to the next room over. If you are looking for a subtle candle, this one may work for you.

I thought the candle I received from Borough Home in the March Vellabox was perfect for spring! It smelled clean and green, but with a hint of something warm and I liked it, plus it wasn’t too strong and didn’t give me a headache. The candle is supposed to burn for around 80 hours, which means I can burn it throughout the month. The bonus items had a very strong floral scent, I’m not sure I want that in my car but I can hang it in my closet or home office and it will provide a burst of spring flowers.
