CarteHaus Blossom Festival ($38 for 12.5 ounces) I received the candle scent that was chosen for those who prefer for their candles to have floral, sweet, and spicy notes. Those notes include cherry blossom, red currant, and musk. This candle size is supposed to burn for up to 80 hours and is made of soy wax. I have switched to burning my candles on the kitchen island to keep it out of the way of my growing puppy (and his happy tail) so I am looking for a candle that I can smell as it wafts over from one room to the next (there’s no closed barrier wall between the rooms). I noticed this one as I walked by, and it left my kitchen smelling sweet and flowery.
Vellabox Bamboo Scrub Brush Our extra item for the month is a sturdy scrub brush with a bamboo handle and bristles that are made of natural materials rather than plastic. It can be used to wash dishes, or Vellabox suggested that it can be used to clean out old wax and labels from spent candles. I decided to use it in my kitchen and it worked well to help me scrub my pots, but was awkward to handle.
I thought my new Blossom Festival candle from CarteHaus was perfect for spring – its scent was indeed floral but with a hint of musk to keep it from moving into air freshener territory. I have burned it a couple of times now and I always notice it as I walk by, but luckily I’m not overwhelmed with a heavily scented candle. I also liked the bonus item for this Earth-friendly month, as I’ve stopped buying sponges with a plastic scrub on top yet my microfiber washcloth isn’t enough to clean up my pots and pans.
