Our May book features our protagonist who is arranged for an apprenticeship at an esteemed entertainment house. She is unexpectedly called for a private audience with a charming duke, who sweeps her away to his manor to serve as a musician and gain her freedom. Things are not as they seem however, as she barely survives a monster attack, realizes the duke is no mere mortal, and that she has the key to stopping the impending war and saving them all.
